Finally received my score report for Q3 Wave 2 Score release! (ILBOA is SLOWA! ~Peetree)

This is what my FAR 73 Score Report looks like:

    Framework and Standards (17-23%) Weaker

    Financial Statement Accounts (27-33%) Stronger

    Specific Transactions (27-33%) Comparable

    Governmental (8-12%) Stronger

    Not-For-Profit (8-12%) Stronger

    MCQs Stronger

    Sims Comparable

I must have really bombed that first part to fail by 2 points. Ugh…To be honest, I did not look at Framework and Standards as much during review because I felt very confident about that material. Just goes to show…don’t take ANY thing for granted. Re-Study like its the first time taking a section!

Framework and standards is the in the beginning of the study sessions. So don't be surprised. I guess it's a lesson for all of us to make sure we review the beginning as well as the end

Results not bad at all though. Unfortunately, like many others have said you don't need two points you need 75.

You ready to tackle this once and for all?

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Yes, I am… on the one day at a time study plan! =) You??

Even though I got “comparable” on Sims…I still believe the one I left blank was the make it or break it point. Oh well…A great man said recently. “HERE's to one more try!”

Yes mam, here's to round two. I am a week behind, but I will make it up during power week end. We can do this, I will do this.

I printed the detailed content outline for FAR and I noticed that IASB and “first time adoption of IFRS” are listed under “Framework and Standards”.

Is it safe to say that every IFRS question, regardless of the topic, falls into this section?

Does anyone know how that works?

This is just a guess, but I wouldn't draw that conclusion. It seems like IFRS questions that involve calculations wouldn't be under Framework & Standards. I can see how “first time adoption” is, certainly. But “IASB” under Framework Standards suggests to me understanding what the IASB is and what its standards are rather than calculating balances.

I remember a lot of questions that asked me to calculate balances of one thing or another under IFRS. I was really lost on IFRS. My impression of IFRS – and anyone can correct me if this is wrong – is that it is more conservative than GAAP, that it is harder to take a loss on anything. I used this (admittedly limited) impression to answer IFRS questions. I had an IFRS SIM and ended up putting 0 to answer a lot of the questions. No clue if that was right or wrong but I passed.

Best of luck to you Baxter, you're an inspiration and you'll kill FAR next month! Everyone's pulling for you.

Hi @BaxterCPA, when did you receive your score report of Q3 wave 2? I took the BEC section at 8/12 and passed it when the score released, but I haven't received my official score report… I just want to see my score on the official report. Maybe they sent to the wrong address… I really doubt their efficiency in Naperville….I live at Chicago area by the way, near downtown.. If they sent out out the score reports last week, I don't think it will take such a long time to arrive at Chicago….

@mnjy2008 – I just got my paperwork on REG, which I took on 7/29, last week. I also live downtown, so getting the mail from Naperville to us shouldn't be that hard!

Mnjy2008: I received my score report the same day that I started the thread … So Sept 12.

Illinois does not send score reports with the weaker, comparable, stronger breakdowns unless you fail the section. So since you passed you won't get the breakdown report. Congratulations on your passing score!!

Ok… Just re-read your post. You will get a score notice for the pass but it won't have the breakdown on the back.
