Just passed FAR with an 80 and I can almost guarantee you that i did not, in anyway, nail the SIMS. In fact, i half-as**d 3 of them, possibly got my research question right and did o.k on the other 3. And i’m not being like that really smart kid in school who claims they bombed every test only to ace them. There is no way I did well on the SIMS as a whole.

Best piece of advice would be to NAIL the MCQ’s. In fact, I didn’t even study any SIM’s. You’re NEVER gonna see a SIM similiar to anything you’ve practiced. At least the MCQ are fairly similar to what you’ve been practicing. If you know the material well enough to ace the MCQ’s, you know the material well enough to get thru the SIMS. Its the same stuff, just in a diff’t format.

I did the same exact thing. I never studied SIMS and made an 81 on FAR. I took Jeff's advice and I learned the material by doing non stop MCQs. Actually, I played with maybe 10 SIMS just to get a feel for the formatting, etc, but other than that I spent 99.9% of my time on MCQs and reviewing Jeff's Ninja Notes.
