Hi,

I posted this already but am not sure what to do. My exam is at 5 PM tonight and a friend of mine who is testing at the same testing center as me received an email that the testing center is closed today through Monday. I however did not get this email so don’t know if I should still show up. I called the testing center and there is no answer. Ahhh this is not helping with exam day jitters!

Does that mean all testing centers are closed? Honestly you would have thought that they would have been more organized and at least sent out an email confirming the testing centers were open. I guess I will get there by whatever means in the morning and hopefully things go smoothly.

I got the phone call at 8:30 A.M. and the email at 8:45 A.M and the test was scheduled for 4 P.M.

Just to clarify, I meant the Prometric offices that you would have to call to confirm your appointment. They're only open Mon-Thurs. Not sure what time the Prometric test centers open — I would imagine 8.30 would be the earliest opening.

Call this number at prometric if your exam was canceled due to Irene. Be prepared to be put on hold for a long time and have your prometric confirmation # with you. I was able to reschedule for Wed. the 31st.

I called, was on hold for 2.5hrs and couldn't get an appointment for the last 2 days in Aug….

Is there going to be an emergency window opens up in September???

talked to someone at NASBA today and they said Prometric was having a meeting to determine if they will open up more days…said to call later this afternoon…i was surprised to hear that because I didn't think it was Prometric's decision. Regardless, the person I talked to had no idea either way.

I was told by NASBA this morning that the window will be extended until September 7th. However, you can only test at certain Prometric Sites, meaning you might have to travel. I called Prometric and they are currently looking for a weekend slot for me around the Philadelphia Area. This might be BS but compared to yesterday we are moving in the right direction.

NASBA informed me the exam window has been extended but only for those with NTS that are expiring. I shouldn’t be punished because I’m organized. I am ready for my exam now and I should have the same opportunity to sit in this window. This is incredibly unfair.

I was misinformed. I spoke with NASBA again and was told the window was extended for everyone affected by the prometric closures. Not only those with NTS that are expiring.

Window is extended until 9/10/11, however it hard to reschedule b/c not all Prometric sites are offering September dates b/c they are full with other exams/tests that automatically re-scheduled once they were canceled.

I just got a new test date of 9/7/11.

Called: 1-800-580-9648 – They will take care of you, you might be on hold for a couple minutes but have your NTS available.

Shellgirl – I think we are talking about two different things, I missed my exam due to the Hurricane. I had a test date already of August 28th and it was canceled. I talked to NASBA and Prometric about 100 X in the last day and a half and I was told that the window was extended until 9/10/11, however this is only for exam takers that were affected by the Hurricane, not for ppl who have no scheduled until this point in time.
