So one of the main characters on this show Suits is a super genius who use to get paid to take the bar exam for aspiring lawyers. Apparently, they aren’t as security conscious as the CPA exam. This show got me thinking last night, after another long night studying REG, what if there was someone who offered to take the CPA exam for you? Am I the type of person who would take that chance?
So I was sitting there staring at the REG book and thinking about the last 6 months of torture I’ve been through. No life, no friends, no dating…it’s just one section I told myself. That’s all I need. I could finally go out into the sunlight again, actually see living people.
It was a tempting thought my friends. But you know what? I thought about the sheer pride I felt in passing my first 2 parts. And then I thought about the pride I would feel finally passing this demon-spawned test. I thought about the sense of accomplishment I would feel. And then a curious thing happened. This warm feeling of contentment spread thorough my body like a shot of whiskey in the middle of winter. Then I picked my head up and started studying again. I want that feeling of knowing I conquered this thing.
So to all those out there in the same hell as me, pick up your head and plow on. The goal is there within reach. Think of the glorious day when you get that last score and realize that finally, finally, you won. You slayed the beast.
And then go out and get absolutely hammered 🙂
