Hello,

I just took my first CPA exam yesterday and I’m little concerned about the simulations.

1) I initially selected more accounts/rows than I needed in my journal entries but since I couldn’t delete them later. I just debited and credited two random accounts for 0 (in addition to the debiting and crediting the right accounts) Would that count against me?

2) I forgot to select “no entry required” in one journal entry date and instead left it blank. Would this count against me?

Should I bother emailing anyone? The AICPA? NASBA?

Oreo89- I am not sure anyone knows exactly how those simulations are graded, I would guess that the second one would count against you. I dont think emailing anyone will do anything. They are computer graded, so your score is already determined. Dont worry too much about it, I still passed FAR and I probably got 2 of the sims correct.

Its hard to tell with the sims….when I took FAR the first time, I didnt finish the sims and got a 64. I also got a weaker on my MCQs.

The 2nd time I took FAR I got a 70 and I really didnt feel confident with any of my sims.

The 3rd time I took FAR, I felt crappy about 2 of them, felt okay with 3, nailed 1, and got my research right..I got a 77…

Its super hard to tell, but I feel that the Sims are definitely important.

As a result, I had a Weaker on the MCQs and a comparable on the SIMS and got a 77…….My friend on the other hand got a Stronger on the MCQs and a Comparable on the SIMs and she got a 78…….So im not sure how it works bc I woulda thought I failed based on her report

oreo- no I finished all 7 of them, but I am not exaggerating when I say that I only answered 2 of them correctly. I might have gotten partial credit on the others. I did feel like I aced the MC. My sims were on things I never once saw in Becker and were unbelievably out of left field.
