The reason I ask this question is because right now, I’m doing nothing but studying. That’s all I do… study study study. I keep saying that I can’t wait until all this is over so I can get my life back, but when I think about it, I can only see myself getting easily bored because I’m so used to constantly being so busy studying.

My mom’s friend, who is an M.D., even told me that when she was studying for her Medical Licensing Exam, all she did was study like crazy and when she finally passed it, she was bored out of her mind. I can see myself being the same way once I’m all done with this.

So for those of you that are all done with all 4 parts of the CPA exam, do you find yourself bored easily?

I definitely have a need to keep learning, to have some sort of purpose that will keep me from becoming a complete couch potato every night when I get home from work.

My current plan is to do the Rosetta Stone for Spanish and then French. I figure that'll be enough to keep my brain occupied for a long time. After that, I don't know, maybe I'll spend my extra free time traveling to Spain and France! 🙂

I had studied non-stop since senior year in college (Jan 2010) until May 2013:

Jan 2010 – GMAT

May 2010 – Graduation

June 2010 – MBA start

Aug 2011 – MBA graduation

Sept 2011 to Dec 2011 – CISA exam

Jan 2012 to May 2013 – CPA exam

I think I got used to studying, so now I want to try something else too, probably CISSP (IT certificate) as I am an IT auditor.

Every moment when going through the study, it is really pain in the ass. But at the end, looking back in my life, it was worthwhile spending a lot of time on the study because it is what makes me more valuable.

ALMI (Associate, Life Management Institute)
CISA - Passed in 2011, Certified in 2014
