    I don’t know about you all, but I am quite nervous about the score release a week from today. Probably because if I pass, it means I am done studying, but if I don’t…

    Trying not to think about it, but hard not to when it’s now a week from today. Not sure if I’ll check the night of or wait till morning and have someone else look for me. Feeling a bit more anxious about this one than past times, probably because I have no idea how I felt about this test. I’m afraid to say I felt good about it, but then again, I could have done absolutely horrible on it. My second testlet of MC may have gotten harder, but it was hard to say. My SIMs probably got more difficult, but I was already stronger in those than in the MC. I do know I definitely got the research question this time, compared to last time where I couldn’t find it and just put something down in the blanks.

    Will have to just wait and see, I guess…

    @Recked Racing-the worst is behind you-good luck on BEC-those scores are enviable, even though at this point, I don't care as long as it's above 75!!!!!

    Congrats to the others as well!

    BEC = 72 (6/08/16)

    Passed all. I got 88 on REG after 4 attempts, it was my last chance before my FAR was expired.

    @Victor – Congrats on passing! Can you tell us your strategy for REG? I have been struggling to pass REG myself and I am going on my fourth attempt.

    81 on REG. guess I should be happy given apparently I scored “weaker” on entity taxation, which is the bulk of the exam hahah

    @jennifer, congrats! Well deserved freedom!!

    And congrats to everyone else who passed on first try and everything!

    65 on FAR on first try, urghh.. Comparable MCQ, weaker SIMs.. It was entirely my fault not checking the blueprint and AICPA sample tests beforehand, no wonder the Gov't/NFP questions caught me off guard, let alone the terrible time management.. It would also related to my study methods. I might change it up by reading the books that I dreaded before and reading the explanations MORE carefully, and also time for a supplement (looking at Gleim TB to improve my SIM performance).

    It's going to be a new ball game on FAR. I am actually excited to review FAR again. Apparently, I enjoyed FAR topics more than AUD which I will be sitting this weekend. But now that I failed FAR, it would also mean that I have to study differently for AUD, since I have been doing exactly what I did on FAR. Gotta look at the silver lining here and stay positive!

    I used only Wiley textbooks for all my exams. I thought about using different books after I failed 2 times and reviewed Becker and Rogers, but then I realized that I should change the approach rather than reading the same basic rules from different sources. I never liked memorizing and using mnemonics, because i am not good at it. I always tried to understand the basics very well by understanding the logic behind it (from the standpoint of IRS) and applying in real life and I liked Wiley's bite-sized video lessons for that

    My previous scores on REG was 60, 61 and 71. I struggled on first two attempts, spent to much time on MCQ, very poor time management. On 3 attempt i was very confident at the beginning, but there was one or two annoying SIM questions at the end, one is related to tax preparer's all different kind of penalties which i couldn't find in any text books, but i got them from IRS website before i took last exam

    Found out I got a 73, which is surprisingly exactly the score I was expecting unfortunately. Working on not being discouraged and hoping I won't lose my FAR credit over it since I can't take REG this testing window.
