I don't know why but I have been trying to post since Friday in this thread and the post I had written won't stick. Beyond annoying. Tomorrow is the day I find out if I'm done or if I'm taking my passed BEC again along with FAR if I failed.
February 25, 2019 at 10:15 am #2231154cgeyer90ParticipantHoping for an early release if candidates with the eye icon are already seeing credits.
@Kelly, which exam are you showing credit for?February 25, 2019 at 10:18 am #2231157KellyParticipantThe eye is on the portal if you took an exam within the last 60 days.
I took audit the last week of January. I'm thinking scores will be released early as well if that is already showing.
Good luck to all! Fingers crossed.
February 25, 2019 at 10:23 am #2231178jjjgolf500ParticipantHmm. I took BEC early Feb, and I have no eye on the score release tab. Only eye I have is on the NTS tab.
February 25, 2019 at 10:26 am #2231181JoshParticipant@Kelly congrats! Thanks for the eye update, looks like you took AUD so I'm guessing that section is up first for release in true 1 at a time NASBA/AICPA fashion.
I took FAR 2/8 so I'm hoping we're next on the list. I keep refreshing my gateway and clicking the eye but my line for FAR hasn't switched from ATTENDED yet. I've passed AUD/BEC/REG twice each and I still don't know how this release process still gets me every time. Here's to hopefully being done!
February 25, 2019 at 10:31 am #2231205TerriSilvaParticipant@Josh I am waiting for FAR as well, but of course my state is not a NASBA state so I probably won't see anything until tomorrow. But maybe there's a chance since it's early still! How did you feel on FAR? I am trying to remain calm as it's my 5th score release for FAR (yes, you read that right). The other exams I passed rather easily! So weird. I am done if I passed. I don't even like saying that in case it doesn't turn out well. I hate the torture.
February 25, 2019 at 10:32 am #2231208DannyParticipantSorry if this question has already been answered at some point, but what time does have scores been released (when released a day early)? It it around end of business day? I think when I got my BEC score in December, I wasn't anxious to check because I thought I failed. So when I checked a day or two after score release, I was pleasantly surprised. Waiting on FAR this time around, also not feeling as confident.
February 25, 2019 at 10:38 am #2231211Hopefulfor75Participant@Danny, the last few times for me have been between 7 and 9 pm (mountain time). It's really nice to not wait until 10 pm to refresh the score, and then stay up until 12 am because the site is overwhelmed and doesn't work.
I received my BEC score last February at 2 pm! NASBA was feeling giving I guess πFebruary 25, 2019 at 11:03 am #2231241JoshParticipant@TerriSilva I completely understand where you are mentally. I chased the public accounting career growth ladder in 2013 & 2014 instead of the CPA. I'd pick up a section and then let it go a couple weeks in for tax season or heavy audit season, ect. Finally got serious and passed everything but FAR in 2015 but had to wait until the 16 week tax season slowed to finally tackle FAR in 2016. I studied very poorly twice and I think I had got a 70 first and then a 74 but I lost AUD with that fail. Ended up leaving my firm to go to a top 10 thinking I'd restart there but that was crazy hectic and the exam started changing in 2017 so after a year I jumped ship 1 more time to the easy government life in 2018. Picked those 3 sections back up between June and November but ran back into that feeling of dread once I got back to FAR.
My exam felt really geared towards my strengths, neither packet 1 or 2 felt difficult and I looked up each of the 9 questions I did feel a struggle with once I got home and I answered them correctly (thank you photographic memory). My background in government and NFP really let me focus more on lease and bond areas I'm not great with. But the SIMS!!!! Those SIMS were a wreck from start to finish. I had 1 minute left. I didn't leave any blanks, I did find my research topic fairly easy. I could not tell which one the throw away could be since they were all rough.
Good luck to you! Hopefully we're both done with this release and can move onto that next chapter.
February 25, 2019 at 11:10 am #2231244TerriSilvaParticipant@Josh – I had a SIM with maybe 6 or 7 answers to select (one of those letter-types) as my very last SIM and I was only unsure of one or 2 of those, the last one being right when the timer hit zero. I didn't leave anything blank, which is great, but last time I didn't either and got 72 π
My very first SIM in the 3rd testlet was the research question, and for the first time ever I am not sure that I found it. It was way out there! Usually I find them very quickly. My second SIM was absolutely heaven-sent, though! 100% on that one for sure. The others were okay and really not anything I felt lost or anything on, one being a little odd and hoping that one was pretest. I won't know as early as most of you since I'm in CA and we suck. LOL good luck I'll be checking back once NASBA states are all up to say congrats πFebruary 25, 2019 at 11:54 am #2231316BrokenglassParticipantIn case anyone didn't know, NASBA usually posts on their twitter account when the scores are released.
February 25, 2019 at 12:25 pm #2231379Steven KParticipant@Kelly. It is true. I can verify this because that is how I personally found out I passed AUD in Q4. I checked my FAR score report and my status for AUD changed from “attended” to “Credit.” I checked my score the next day and saw a 79 for AUD. So once you see it change to “credit,” you can alleviate any worries you had. You're in the clear.
February 25, 2019 at 12:29 pm #2231388Steven KParticipant@Danny. The standard release time is midnight EST. So unless, NASBA releases scores early, you will be able to check your scores in a little over 10.5hrs. Now going off of @Brokenglass, if you just search NASBA on twitter, they usually post updates throughout the day. For the Feb 5 score release, they made a post on 2/4 at around 3pm stating that scores would be released at 8pm. This may occur again so feel free to keep checking the NASBA twitter.
The reason why some people can use the “eye icon” to view their score early is because your score form will change once NASBA receives your score electronically from the AICPA. Once NASBA receives all the scores from AICPA, is when they release them to the candidates.February 25, 2019 at 12:38 pm #2231415bmj2sParticipant@ Steven, Do you only see this score form because you took two at a time frame that's close together? I took mine in November, but my NASBA portal never updated for anything. CPA Central had my information instead. I'm waiting on BEC scores this time, and my anxiety is blasting off. lol
February 25, 2019 at 12:40 pm #2231418TypicalParticipantTrying to work right now is close to impossible. My nerves are going crazy haha. The more I think about the REG sims the more doubt that I throw into my mind. Did anyone else take REG feel like the sims were quite challenging as well? Good Luck to everyone!
