Figure I start this conversation since today is the cutoff day for the Feb 7 score release!
Good luck everyone, I really need the pass for AUD… Else, I will have to wait until August to find out if I am done with this journey!

@Toni Thanks, hopefully it works. I tried doing it just to test it yesterday, and it came up with the screen and just said the scores weren't released yet so I guess that means I'm okay?

My husband laughed about the countdown clock and said of course they had to make this the most over-dramatic and stressful thing ever.

@tatorhead328 sounds like you're good then! I have to wait for IL to receive and post scores – one time I had to wait until 6pm. I was a wreck all day. Haha and yeah I agree about it being over-dramatic. I'm surprised they don't have The Final Countdown playing until scores are released.

I’ve never turned on the speakers, maybe it does plan Final Countdown. That would be the last straw I think. Someone at work asked me about when I get my score and I showed him the countdown clock. He couldn’t believe that they do it. Now you know what we go through! I’ve literally been on edge all day long. I don’t think I’m going to be able to sleep until I know my score. This day can't go fast enough.

This could potentially be my last exam. If not ill have to take the new bec exam AND wait months for my score. Please God let me be done….

Im going insane. Im restless at work everyone keeps on asking me when ill get my score. The pressure is awful. On top of that my mom is ALREADY planning my celebration dinner the day of score release. I told her not to bc it can be either outcome. Good Grief i hope i wont have to tell them i failed. :,(

Anyone else have their last exam and feel the same way?

FAR (5/31) PASS (Best birthday gift ever!)

I REALLY wish I hadn't told everyone I was getting scores this week. I did say Wednesday to buy myself a day to grieve before I have to tell at least.

The countdown clock reminds me of when the Mario music speeds up, and you start panicking and screwing everything up.

Yes, same boat here. I actually planned a celebration last time in November (because my birthday was the same week), only to find out I failed. This time I decided I am not planning any type of celebration until i see that score at a 75 or over. I think I jinxed myself. Haha. (as if superstitions affect my score) 😉

I just told everyone I get my score “sometime in February.” It's difficult getting asked and getting texts from family asking. Then, naturally, they say it's no big deal or they KNOW I will get it next time. I wish they wouldn't say that because then it just adds more unwanted pressure on having to pass. So if I pass, I'm telling everyone immediately. If I fail, I will probably never mention it until someone asks me.

Waiting very impatiently for my BEC score. I have the countdown clock pulled up at work. Why would I do that to myself!! I just can't help but think that if I don't pass it then I have to take a more difficult version AND wait until August to get the results!!! Here's to staying up late to wait for scores tonight!!!

tatorhead328: I honestly know how you feel. I also have coworkers asking me all the time when I'll find out. I know they are trying to be supportive but it sucks to have to tell everyone you failed. Someone actually asked me this morning and I also told them I would find out Wednesday. Just like you, I figured I would have a day to grief if I fail. Tomorrow I will either be very happy or totally depressed.

scared_cpa: OMG YES. Literally every single person I know keeps saying, “I know you passed!” I get that they don't know what else to say and they're being supportive, but it makes me want to punch them. Or they keep saying, “Oh, but you're so smart!” Like being smart has anything at all to do with this damn test.

My boss just says don't worry if you fail, you just have to keep pushing through and you can do it. It's nice and refreshing to hear someone say, hey, maybe you won't pass.

I have the countdown clock open on my second monitor at work too. I've never been so glad to come in and find a pile of tax returns on my chair before, unfortunately, they are not very distracting.

I may implode, I had to cut myself off from coffee already.

I feel the same as all you….I walked out of AUD knowing that I passed but you can never be sure. I am also in IL so will somehow have to sleep tonight and find out in the morning. In the meantime, more FAR studying!!!!

I have the countdown clock on my second monitor as well. Not sure why though, considering I know the scores won't release until midnight, and I probably won't get my score till 1:30 or after.

This is a sick joke. I have been waiting for 31 days now. If i fail, I have to retake in April and wait until August………..during that time, if i don't pass, I would lose my REG credit. This is one of the biggest days of my life…………. 🙁

@tatorhead328 It is very nice to have someone be honest with you about it. False security is an awful thing to have. I know when they say things like that, they have the right intentions, it's just irritating. It's also irritating when you tell them you can't go out on the weekend or do something because you have to study. They act like I'm just being dramatic. Yes, I'm somehow supposed to never study yet pass because you know I will.

Anywho…I almost wish my wait was longer so I don't have to find out if I failed. Anyone else feel this way? It's like, the feeling of waiting is better than finding out you failed. It is to me, at least.

Does anyone know why there are so few score release dates to where some of us have to wait a month or longer? I don't understand why they can't release scores once a week or at least once every two weeks. But I suppose the AICPA gods know best.

Maybe the wait is all about the psychological torture aspect of the test. -_-
