Figure I start this conversation since today is the cutoff day for the Feb 7 score release!
Good luck everyone, I really need the pass for AUD… Else, I will have to wait until August to find out if I am done with this journey!

I like the idea of a party! Having us wait so long for 2Q scores are torture.
BEC - 79
REG - 85
AUD - 5/27/16January 21, 2017 at 8:44 am #1445343eaglescpaParticipantActionCPA I am in the same boat as you! Hoping for a pass on AUD and to be done with this thing!
January 21, 2017 at 9:08 am #1445349AnonymousInactive@eaglescpa-Aww, my competitor?! lol how was your exam experience? what did you do differently this time than the first? Let's share our experience!
January 21, 2017 at 2:53 pm #1445474Scared-cpaParticipantI just took my FAR retake yesterday morning and hope you guys can provide some insight on it for me. I hate doing these “what do you think?” posts but sometimes you just need the opinions of others who know what you're talking about!
I was trending 86 on Ninja mcq before I sat this second time around and I felt like I have a better comprehension of the material. The first testlet was fine. About what is expected – the hardest part for me was getting my nerves to calm down. By my second testlet, I was more relaxed and the questions were a mix of lengthy ones and shorter ones. The third testlet contained lengthy questions. A lot of them filled up the whole screen – I never experienced questions like that my first time with FAR. The first two testlets took me 30 minutes a piece and the third took me 45 because of the lengthiness. When I got to the sims, they were atrocious as anticipated. But they were so out of left field. None of them were like those I practiced in Ninja or WTB. I know practicing sims can't prepare you because you don't know what they wy will be over, but give me a break. I also don't think I found the research. So I honestly don't know how I did. I'm just really sad now 🙁
January 21, 2017 at 6:25 pm #1445579eaglescpaParticipantActioncpa first time I used becker and Ninja but I didn't get to the review phase. This time, I went straight Ninja and got the notes and audio too. Its always so hard to tell with these exams how it went… I thought the mcq were a little tougher than the first time but still felt like I did well there. I thought I did better with the sims this time than the first time and taking FAR in between I think helped with that. I also tried to use the AL as much as I could with the sims I have make sure I had everything right. How did yours go? I am just hoping for a 75!!!
January 21, 2017 at 7:42 pm #1445601AnonymousInactiveI did Becker's mcqs and around 600 ninja mcqs. I didn't read the text first time. I underestimated the audit for sure the first time. I thought I was in a good shape and knew the material well but in reality I didn't grasp the concept well. Second time around I read the becker textbook and bought a beckers final review(which helped me a ton). I also completed the ninja Mcqs. Day before the exam I was averaging 80 and trending 95. I also took beckers final 1 & 2 and scored 80 and 71 respectively. I think I did okay with mcqs. Checked 10 questions that I could remember and got 9 right and 1 wrong…I don't know if the testlet got harder but it took me longer to complete second and even longer on third testlet. Many questions were obscure but that was about it. I had some computational mcqs I had to do. I had few difficult sims that I could not use the AL. I really am hoping for a pass and end this journey all together… I need a pass…
January 22, 2017 at 8:04 pm #1446060Meg267ParticipantI'm in! Waiting on the score for a REG retake. I'm feeling really good about it, so I'm hoping for good news.
January 23, 2017 at 8:59 am #1446204mjbey1sParticipant@ActionCPA, I am in the same boat as you as well. My REG score expires 5/31, so I need to pass this time to keep myself from taking it in April and having to wait until August for the score release.
I really think I passed FAR this time considering I got a 68 last time and thought I bombed it. But its hard to ever know with these exams…..
I took my test on 1/6/17, so it has been a long wait already:((((
January 23, 2017 at 10:24 am #1446257AnonymousInactiveI did not realize the wait for the *hopefully* last section would be soooo bad!!! The plan was to throw myself into work but I'm in GA and we got those storms so our server is down, only my thoughts to keep me busy on the first day of filing. Let the miserable continue…
January 23, 2017 at 11:08 am #1446273AnonymousInactive@mjbey1s-my reg expires on 10/31/17… I can't imagine having to wait until August if I have to retake the AUD…. I really do think I have a good chance at passing and ending this journey all together. How did you feel about your test-lets and sims?
@cpasomedaymaybe- I feel your pain I had that feeling since November of last year. What is keeping me sane is my kids, grad school work, and playing pc games alot lol. How did you do on BEC? I left the testing center knowing I passed because third testlet was very hard and knew I aced writing part.
January 23, 2017 at 1:05 pm #1446362AnonymousInactive@ActionCPA No idea how I did, and I don't want to speculate in a good way, I'd rather assume I failed and be pleasantly surprised. The second testlet was much harder than the first, but the third seemed to get easier. I had no problems with the written memos. I want this journey to be over and I'm not a patient person lol. Good luck to you on AUD, hopefully we both see an end in a few weeks.
January 23, 2017 at 1:38 pm #1446390mjbey1sParticipant@ActionCPA, I am kind of the same way in that I really do not want to speculate, because I don't want to jinx myself. I will say that the first time I took FAR, I KNEW that I bombed it and knew I did awful on the SIMS. When I got a 68, I was actually pleasantly surprised.
As far as the testlets, I'm not a big believer in gauging testlets, because I think it is very subjective based on everyone's knowledge of the material. I honestly didn't notice a big change in any of the testlets. Maybe that is bad, or maybe it's because I had a good grasp of all topics and nothing really stumped me. Also, my SIMS were a lot better this time, and I think i got pretty lucky. There was one SIM i think I got 100% right, and I definitely got the research question right. The rest of them I think I got a good portion of the cells right too.
I am just hoping and praying for the best, and I will just deal with whatever hand I am dealt. This process has taught me not to get too excited, and to keep the lows and highs somewhere in the middle. It's not good to get to high or low because you just never know about these tests. I thought I bombed REG the first time around, and got an 83.
But honestly, if i don't pass this time, I can honestly say that I don't know what a 75 even represents at this point. I think I had a good grasp of the material, and I am very excited for the score release…
January 23, 2017 at 2:03 pm #1446413JoshParticipantFebruary 7th determines whether or not I start over again. I imagine the exams are already scored. At least, there is nothing I can do differently from when I hit that submit button on the 9th of January. Now, the best thing is to imagine the best. That's what I hear, but it's not easily done for me.
