Failure letter?

So I failed REG with a 71 and this is my first time failing a section. From what I understand, I will receive a letter from NASBA detailing the areas that I need to work on? I’m testing in Florida if that makes a difference.

    Thanks

    FAR - 78, 5/7/16
    AUD - 87, 7/16/16
    BEC - 8/27/16
    REG - 12/3/16

You will typically receive an email/letter within 24-48 hours. This quarter they seem to be running slow, mine took an entire week before I received my score report.

Be careful when basing your studying off of the score report though, you will want to study everything again, not just your weak areas.

    REG: 80 (02/19/16)
    AUD: 83 (04/11/16)
    BEC: 78 (05/28/16)
    FAR: ?

Definitely. I will make sure to do a comprehensive review but I'll also make sure that I definitely understand my weak areas for my retake. Thanks!

depends on your state. I am DC which is a “quasi” NASBA state meaning I get my scores through there but I do not register for exams or get my score report through there. Typically my board will send me a letter about 2 weeks after score release (but sometimes 3)- either telling me I passed or I failed with the breakdown of areas. But honestly don't rely on the breakdown too much I have found in the past it is pretty useless…

BTW sorry about your fail… it sucks!

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

Sadly, I've seen three so far (NASBA; DC) and really all the letter says is how well you did compared to those who passed. Not very detailed at all.

So for example, my most recent one for FAR said that I did better than those who passed in government and not for profit. BUT it's possible that those who passed blew off that topic and therefore it wasn't very hard to do better than them. Good luck!

On one hand, I wish Alabama received a breakdown, but on the other I'm glad we don't. The two sections I've had to retake were completely different. I hope the same for audit bc this last one was very tough! I wouldn't want to be focusing on sections that I don't even see again.
