Hahahaha.. I had 3/4th a CPA when I passed the first 3! Not sure what I'll have up when (and if ) I pass REG cause I can't say I'm a “whole CPA” or even “CPA” till I met the experience requirements!

I said “75%” CPA. I've seen people say they are a CPA without meeting the requirements or getting their board number.. and you know you can't do that 🙁

Just say you passed the entire CPA exam!!!!

When I post “Yay! After a year I finally passed section 3 of 4 of the CPA exam. One more to go!”

Almost always someone will post, “Congrats! But I thought you were already a CPA.”

People think you take one test, get your score immediately and *BAM*, you're a CPA.

I've been thinking about this too because hopefully I've passed my last section. It's been soo much work I want to say something, but then again don't want to upset those who havn't and the rest don't even understand what an accomplishment it is.

It's one thing to post on a site like this where everyone recognizes your hard work and dedication, but Facebook friends don't really have an understanding of how time consuming and difficult these exams are. I tend to only tell the people who have really stuck through it with me and seen my determination: Family, Friends, & my Firm.

Who knows though, maybe I'll change my mind when I pass all for parts, but I really don't think that 20 “congrats!” messages from people I rarely talk to will bring me anymore satisfaction than seeing 4 passing grades and knowing how hard I worked to get those 3 letters.

That's true Ducktales. I didn't quite think of it that way. You will get 20 congrats from people who will not truly understand… besides you'll get:

“I knew you could do it”

“You're smart, of course you did it”

“When did you ever doubt yourself”

“you're awesome”

“Now you can pay my bills, from all the money you will be making”

“Now you can get a big successful job”

Can we say for the billionth time.. that this exam is not about how smart you are, or how we doubt ourselves at time, and even if we are awesome.. the AICPA doesn't care.. haha. And the job and the money may not ever be around the corner by any means 🙁

So sorry for being bitter, I had a horrible day at work yesterday and I have by far more education, licenses, experience than everyone on my team, , including my boss who is a “u of pheonix online bachelors graduate” .. it suuuucks!
