Who else is completely exasperated with the CPA exam?

I have myself scheduled to take FAR the last day of the August window, but that thick FAR book is like punishment. =)

I sat for AUD the first week of July and sat for REG last week. I am so burnt out from CPA studying. Its tough to get motivated when those test results are still outstanding. It doesn’t help that finding an entry-level accounting job in this economy is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Sorry, just had to vent. Thinking positive. Going to read my FAR text now….. lol

-Passed all four sections of CPA exam in 2010 using Becker.
-Former Seasonal Audit Senior with Big Four accounting firm.
-Plan to sit for Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

I know what you mean, I took FAR a week ago, I really hope I passed it. If I find out I didn't, it's going to be terrible knowing that going into AUD.

Doing AUD questions on a friday night. Riveting as always! I know i'm losing my mind when I think Tim Gearty saying “bull-dinky!” on a lecture is hilarious. good luck with your job search though.

    FAR: 8/5/2010 - 89
    AUD: 8/24/2010 - 92
    REG: 10/11/2010 - 94!!
    BEC: 11/30/2010

I am so exasperated! Studying for the CPA exam killed my summer!

@big shot- Not only has it ruined my summer, but it can make it all a wash within the next few weeks. I spent the first half of the summer studying for REG, and now have moved on to FAR. Obviously, have yet to find out my score for REG, and will not know my FAR score until mid-September. Worse case scenario, I could fail both exams and have my entire summer mean nothing, or best case scenario, I could pass both exams and make the summer completely worthwhile! Here's hoping for the latter!

@DocHalladay- I have the same feeling, I studied big time for FAR and since I don't know what the result will be, I only studied 8 days for AUD so at least I don't feel so bad if I fail it. I will be furious if I failed FAR, there are so many things I could've done this summer!!

Yeah, I would have been nice to have a life this summer, that's for sure. I'm really dragging on FAR, I cant seem to get motivated to keep reviewing! It's bizarre, especially considering my previous post, you'd think I'd want to knock this one out!

Yeah i was dragging on FAR and ended up rescheduling 24 hours before the exam but I'm glad I did. I got ~71% on becker final exam so I wasn't going to throw 1.5 months away and decided that 1 extra week was worth $100. All the little sections that I skipped reviewing the first time around because I thought they were too difficult to be tested on, well I saw all of them in my simulations! So glad I took that extra week even though it messed up my whole exam schedule.

I am so exhausted that I can't see straight half the time…or keep my head off my desk at work. My head is filled with so much CPA exam information that it literally gave me nightmares (well, one ‘dream' in which I walked out of the exam after the first testlet bc I had realized that I didn't study the last 2 modules in Wiley…so, that was a NIGHTMARE!).

    REG 79 (Becker); BEC 63 (Becker) 70 (Yaeger); AUD 66 (Becker; 11/30 - Becker); FAR 11/24 (Yaeger/Wiley)
