I was wondering which format is preferred? Also, is the Ethics exam multiple choice?

The AICPA ethics is 40 multiple choice questions. You can either do it online or on paper and mail in your answer sheet.

If you are deciding between book or CD, go with the CD (from what I've heard). Jeff at another71 said so on a youTube video of his. The CD course is (I think) basically a Adobe Flash video application and my understanding is it also has a glossary where you can search for things while you're doing the exam.

The one thing (and this may be true with a lot of accounting training): It doesn't run on MAC. Of course, not too many accountants or people in business use MAC, but if you do, you could use BootCamp or Parallels to run it.
