I'm not sure, but I want to say that all that information should be in the packet the state (TX) sends to you for passing the exams. Hopefully those that passed previously can fill us both in.

My husband received his through the TX state board. I think it is all dependent on what state you are in. So senator you will get your shortly, and literally it's a xeroxed test with booklet with where to find the answers….nothing like the actual CPA exam at all!

Good to hear that because the last thing I need is the stress of failing an ethics exam after passing the CPA exam for goodness sake. LOL!! Plus we need the bonus money from the firm for our new house!!

Anyone in California know if you can take the ethics exam prior to passing all four parts? Thanks!

@keeptrying-SA only has two EY (largest) and KPMG. I'm in the tax practice and KPMG only has about 15 people. I'm happy with it though. I like Big 4 but not sure how long I will stay. Getting very interested in getting a doctorate and teaching at the University level. Who knows?

I found out I passed on Monday from the Texas Board, and a coworker informed me that I could go ahead and do the Ethics portion before I get my packet. Went to the Bisk website and thirty minutes later, my Ethics course and test were complete!

The Code of Professional Conduct is included with your packet. it is the Xeroxed paper with a test page to fill out and mail back.

I'm still confused on how it works. You buy the test materials from the AICPA and then you take the test online and havethe results sent to the state you are certifying in?

I am in Texas. I believe that there are several different ways to do it, all explained in the packet coming from the board. I didn't want to wait and a coworker recommended this one. The Bisk Ethics course i did was was through their website. They do CPE courses, it is at http://www.cpeasy.com. You choose tab “Regulatory Ethics” select the TX one and you are on your way. I did mine online, but there are different ways to do it. When completed, you will print out a certificate and include it with your packet you mail back to the state. It was $79.00, or you get 10% if you get to the site through the Texas Society of CPAs site. It was very easy and took NO time to complete. I knew most of the answers already, and the ones I didn't I just searched the document.

    It depends on the state.

In TN they use the AICPA test which you take online and if you pass (90%) they will send the result to the state board. Most NASBA states do this I think. Bottom line check with your state board and see what they require. Many will let you take it before you get you scores.
