I wanted to start a thread for everyone who is feeling defeated and feeling like they will never receive that passing score. My journey has be ONE HELL of a long ride. I started studying in 2014. Failed way to many times to even keep track up. Thought about giving up but always came back for one more try. Once I passed my first test I knew I couldn’t give up.

Scores came out yesterday and I was too scared to check my scores for my last test till this morning – but – after MANY years of failing grades, I finally received my FINAL PASSING GRADE. I AM DONE!!!!!!! Thank goodness 🙂

good luck to everyone else.. do NOT give up. If I had given up 3 year ago I would not be where I am today, a CPA!

Congratulations! Three years is a long time, but that shows you have a lot of stamina! Enjoy the new year stress-free from these exams!

I do have a question – what did you do to finally pass REG? That is quite a jump and I could use some extra points for my retake.

a tutor is easily 40 an hour. AICPA says to study around 125 hours per part. So even if you take 10% of study time for a tutor your looking at $500 plus exam fees plus other study material (i.e. roger lets say).

Your in at least 1000$ for just ONE part. Insanity. just read the book and do MCQs.

This is the third time this guy's name has come up – seems to me that if you can afford a couple of hours on your weak spots (I've heard sometimes a couple of focused hours is all you need) would be well worth it. I was going to go this route if I didn't pass this last one.

Yes, never ever give up. You didn't come this far to only come this far!!

I studied for over 2 years and finally passed yesterday. I failed my first 6 exams then finally started passing. Never-ever-EVER give up.

I failed twice – but now im done with all four!

Just STUDY as much as possible. Learn to make sacrifices – say no to partying, use up those PTO for more study time, etc. if necessary. And don't forget to have time to relax your mind so that you don't burn out. Lastly, PRAY.

Congratulations on passing. I was wondering whether or not you recommend the videos on the website you provided.

    Hi Lindsey,
The guy, Darius Clark, has a ton of videos on YouTube that are very helpful. There are a lot of other videos too there that are helpful if you stuck on a particular subject within a test. Just different ways of explaining the same subject.

    Hi All!!

I was reading the thread and I really wanted to contribute.. I just got my score back for AUD and scored a 23%.

I used becker (read the book, watched the lecture, mcqs, some of the sims…) when it was time to take the exam i felt like i wasted so much time becuase i realized doing the mcqs, studying the notecards and sims would have helped.

However, my score wasnt even close to passing.. i feel pathetic.

Can I purchase more mcqs from Ninja?

@tina how much time did you give yourself? AUD is very tricky in terms of the questions. You have to do ALL of the SIMS multiple times and do at least 150 mcqs a day. Let us know what your breakout showed and we can help you make that jump to a 75!

    @Kev

I was ‘Weaker' in all of the sections.

I am studying for FAR right now and I am already on Ch 6. Seeing my score for AUD made me want to work on FAR maybe that would help when I take AUD again.

For FAR so far I have not even touched any of the sims, I am using becker and I do the mcqs at the end of the module.

They also made notecards that I review, I do not listen to the lectures.

I work full-time and I know many of you do as well. I just do not know how to schedule time to study.

@Tina you have to do the sims as you study because most people fail because of the sims. I think that may be the wrong approach not listening to the lectures because those are essential in understanding the material. I have no studied for FAR as yet but I do know from both BEC and AUD the lectures and sims were very helpful and I've never purchased the notecards.
