Under licenses and certifications, I put a brief paragraph about how I passed 2 parts and am waiting on the results for the last 2.

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

I do not put it on my resume but do include it in my cover letter. After I highlight my accomplishments I put “In addition I am a CPA candidate in the state of MA, pending results of my final exam”

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I have passed four parts and I haven't put it on anything. I don't think it means much. I'd rather wait till I have my license in hand before I comment on my resume about the CPA

    FAR-81
    BEC-84
    AUD-91
    REG-89

Haze I often see in job listings “CPA or in pursuit of” or “willingness to obtain CPA desired” so in some cases it may be a plus even without being all tied up.

    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Its up to you. If your resume is light and you need something to highlight besides your degree, go for it…put something like the parts you have taken and passed…However I think its more appropriate only in the cover letter. All accountants with any ounce of ambition aspire to be a CPA, its kind of a given already. 3 parts passed with one to go in reality means nothing until that last one is passed in the 18 month window.

I would think that if you put some reference on your resume or cover letter about being “in process” then that shows you have taken some initiative and have ambition.

The employer may think, “Wow, that is one determined person and we don't have to pay $ to pay for reviews and exams.”

    Just a thought.
