New to the forums and the test – my friend who recently passed told me about this site. Over the past two months I took REG and FAR (definitely will not take both these tests so close together again), and on both of them I ran out of time. I use Becker study materials and place some of the blame on them as the simulations given are much easier and much less time consuming then the actual CPA exam. On both tests I left myself about an hour for the simulations and both tests I was unable to finish them. I feel that I did really well on the MC but very poorly on the Sims.

Would you guys think I even have a chance of passing either of these exams?

REG – 1 sim completely blank, completely guessed on the research as I ran out of time

FAR – 2 sims completely blank, research was a general guess, did not feel so great about the other sims.

On a side note does anyone else find it extremely hard to complete the sims when they have two tabs (which you have to scroll up and down) and also have to use the calculator on such a small screen. I feel like it takes forever to organize all the info given and it is very time consuming to wright everything down compared to having information given to you on a sheet of paper. This very frustrating especially when I know the material so well and feel as though I did great on the MC and just got straight up hosed on the Sims.

ROFL killaking, and there's nothing “negative” about your last statement there. People have got to stop trying to give helpful advice within the same message that does the exact oppoosite of what they are demanding others do.

And what does how many exams one has passed matter? Have you passed 3 already? Does that mean my opinion counts more? lol!

@ jetablack4 – welcome to the forum – I'm sure you did well inspite of the 1 sim you left in REG and 2 in FAR. You just have to wait till the results come out and see. Be hopeful and positive. If it doesn't work out, keep on trying. All the best of luck!!!

@killaking- Yes, Minimorty only passed one section. But if you read his posts in other thread, he feels good about how he did on AUD and REG. So soon, he'll have 3 passing scores.

I, on the other hand, will remain at 2 passing scores as I don't feel good about REG at all. 🙁

@Newbie58, as I wrote earlier, I'm pretty sure one of my 2011 FAR tabs was completely wrong, and I got an 88. But that tab I screwed up on could have been a pre-test, so who knows?

Isn't this site equipped with some sort of auto profanity check?

Why would a moderatior need to worry about that (besides disclosure issues)?

@happy – The site probably has some sort of auto profanity check (although I do not know this for sure), but there are always clever ways around it. You can still use offensive language without actually using profanity as well. Yes, disclosures are the primary purposes of moderators, but I think moderators can also be useful in removing overly offensive material.
