AUD – failed twice before, had not passed any CPA exams, and was ready to give up. saw a 79 and knew i couldn't stop now. was excited for a day, then got back into it.
FAR – failed twice before, just learned i passed AUD a couple months ago. felt maybe passing AUD was a fluke and maybe the CPA thing wasn't for me. i was horrible in my intermediate and felt i would never pass FAR. eventually saw an 81 and knew i was going to become a CPA some day.
BEC – failed twice before, and knew this was the type of exam that gave people ridiculous amounts of trouble. would see this exam being retaken 4 or 5 times for some people. saw my score, gave a fist pump, and resumed studying for REG.
REG – failed three times total, and did not think i passed on the fourth attempt. taxes was not my strong suit, but after putting in a month of solid effort, saw a 78. i breathed deeply, walked around a little in my room (i know, i'm weird), and could almost feel a huge burden being lifted. didn't cry, hardly said anything, but called my rents and let them do the celebrating.
from 6/1/2009 where i started studying for FAR, to 5/27/11 where i took my final REG exam… what a freaking journey. something i'll remember and be thankful for a long time to come.
