I don’t know about you guys but when I got that REG score I broke down right at my kitchen table. I cried like a baby. Didn’t even think I would. I think it meant a lot more to me than I originally thought.

I listened to rap music. “Give me my tool” and “Candy Paint” were my two i pumped hard. Especially candy paint before AUD and REG.

AUD – failed twice before, had not passed any CPA exams, and was ready to give up. saw a 79 and knew i couldn't stop now. was excited for a day, then got back into it.

FAR – failed twice before, just learned i passed AUD a couple months ago. felt maybe passing AUD was a fluke and maybe the CPA thing wasn't for me. i was horrible in my intermediate and felt i would never pass FAR. eventually saw an 81 and knew i was going to become a CPA some day.

BEC – failed twice before, and knew this was the type of exam that gave people ridiculous amounts of trouble. would see this exam being retaken 4 or 5 times for some people. saw my score, gave a fist pump, and resumed studying for REG.

REG – failed three times total, and did not think i passed on the fourth attempt. taxes was not my strong suit, but after putting in a month of solid effort, saw a 78. i breathed deeply, walked around a little in my room (i know, i'm weird), and could almost feel a huge burden being lifted. didn't cry, hardly said anything, but called my rents and let them do the celebrating.

from 6/1/2009 where i started studying for FAR, to 5/27/11 where i took my final REG exam… what a freaking journey. something i'll remember and be thankful for a long time to come.

    FAR - 81 (7/19/10)
    AUD - 79 (5/19/10)
    BEC - 79 (11/30/10)
    REG - 78 (5/27/11)

It's a really long journey. I first cracked open my FAR book in March 2010. I looked at REG for the last time April 2011.

Teared up for both results – BEC 82 and FAR 86 – was surprised as I didn't know for sure if I was even going to pass – tears were of sheer relief and gratitude for my blessings.

See my post “74 and Hung Over”. I bawled all morning on my bathroom floor when I saw I got a 74 on REG. It was supposed to be my last part. Friday, June 24th was the worst morning of my life!!!!
