I’m not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but the target release timeline for this testing window is 6 business days after receiving all remaining scoring data. The target release date is December 20th. Is there a chance that these scores come out earlier than the 19th? If both the target release timeline and the target release date are correct, they are giving themselves nearly a week to just receive the scores.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 82
    REG - 88

I just wish the AICPA would release our scores! I'm on pins and needles over here waiting to see my final REG score! Yes the test is adaptive in that the difficulty of each successive testlet hinges on how well you do on a given testlet. As far as I know the exam is not curved but theoretical if it was automated strictly via computer grading I don't see why candidates couldn't see their results immediately after an exam. There must be some sort of a curve though given the delay in the score release. Or maybe the delay is to determine which questions should be pretest. My understanding of the whole grading process is a little unclear.

    @dland 100% agree

They say the test isn't curved and the questions are obviously pre-weighted because of the whole change of difficulty thing. But then why do we have to wait so long to get our results!? They must throw out questions or something that no one gets right. It doesn't make sense to me..

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate
    Beat the 12/31/13 clock!

Maybe the delay is to throw out the easy questions that everyone gets right – otherwise everyone would pass on the first try.

All I am saying is there are many factors that determine the difficulty of a question one of them being how many people get each question wrong. It is not necessarily a conventional curve because they are not adding points to anyone's exam. I think they use a complex formula to determine how much each question is worth.

I believe that the delay in score release depends more on trend analysis than scoring the individual exams.

    That's what I hope anyway… 🙂

    REG 75
    FAR 88
    AUDIT 82
    BEC 74, 12/4/2013 84 Thank You Lord Jesus !!!
