I’m not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but the target release timeline for this testing window is 6 business days after receiving all remaining scoring data. The target release date is December 20th. Is there a chance that these scores come out earlier than the 19th? If both the target release timeline and the target release date are correct, they are giving themselves nearly a week to just receive the scores.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 82
    REG - 88

No. It's based on how the other students did in the same testing window. The same question taken in a different testing window can be worth less or more based on how people did.

@TXgurl, it's an ongoing topic, with lots of conspiracy theories. I have not seen anyone prove or disprove it; however, from my own experience it surely seems like that is the case.

Things that make that argument seem plausible to me are:

    The staggered score releases

    The test is adaptive

Some questions don't count toward your score.

    FAR - Bad Fail '11, Fail '12, Fail '13, PASS It's a miracle!
    AUD - Fail, PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC - PASS!!!!!!!!
REG - PASS!!!!!!!! And I'm done!

The link Yorker just posted makes it sounds like the weight of each question on your grade is determined separately- not taking into consideration what other test takers in your window answer for the same question. I think people just want to know why all scores must be received to send out grades. There seems to be no point in that.

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

CPAExcel used for BEC, AUD, REG
Exam Matrix used for FAR plus NINJA Blitz, cpareviewforfree and a little CPAExcel

@Yorker; I've read that document in the past and it doesn't outright say, “we curve the exam”. It doesn't even suggest that. Whether there is something to it or not, there is no way that the AICPA would come out and admit to it because that would mean not everyone has an equal chance at passing. If they did, then I think it would be easy to assume your chances of passing would be higher during Q1 because some people taking the exam are working a busy season and some are not; i.e. those not working a busy season have more time to study, etc. Or taking an exam the day before thanksgiving might give an unfair advantage to those people without any family obligations, i.e. more time to study, etc.

The questions are weighted before you take the exam. How else would they be able to give you a “difficult” second testlet if you did well on the first?

    AUD-87 (12/5/13)

I agree with you olazabal. It doesn't make sense that it could be graded on a curve.

    REG 75
    FAR 88
    AUDIT 82
    BEC 74, 12/4/2013 84 Thank You Lord Jesus !!!

Bummer, I was hoping to get a score today. It's tough starting to study for a new topic when you you might have to go back and restudy the prior topic!

    FAR - 84 7/13
    BEC - 77 8/13
    AUD - 82 12/13
    REG - 78 5/28
