They're long, yes, but the more questions you answer the better your odds right? I like their explanations.

Actually, I love the site. My study strategy has been:

1. Pick a topic and work one of the 20 question practice tests.

2. Read the explanation after each question regardless of whether or not I got it right.

3. Pick a second topic and repeat steps 1 and 2 (to help clear the questions from my memory while still being productive)

4. Go back to the first topic and do another 20 question test. This time only read explanation for wrong answers.

5. If score over 80% go to whatever the similar section is in my Wiley book. Read the section and work 1/4 of the problems. (Get mad at myself if I don't score at least an 80% lol)

6. Go back to the second topic and repeat steps 4 and 5.

I've been picking up the concepts a lot quicker with the setup the free site has – i.e. explanation immediately after answering the question without having to flip back and forth through several pages + quick cut-and-dry explanation without all of the Wiley filler.

I personally loved it for BEC and ran out of time to us it much for FAR. I have AUD tomorrow and plan to use it in the morning (maybe).

I like the site as well. I used it heavily for FAR and BEC with Wiley and Becker….I think the questions are wordy and complicated , but I think it is still a valuable tool. I think it is good to mix it up. And I do think their explanations are super helpful.

@Iwannabecpa—I love your profile photo!! How old is your Boston? I have one at home: name is Birdy, and he is seven years old. He is my study buddy. My husband jokes around that he wears an old green accounting visor and helps me study.

@yankeeaccountant: Thanks! Actually that is a painting of our sweet Boston Jada that we lost a few years ago. It is still so hard to come to terms with her death as she was hit by a car and she was only 5…we have still have her best bud Lilo who is 9 now! and we adopted a 5 year old Boston named Marley after losing Jada. I think I could have 10 of these dogs as they have the quirkiest personalities and are the best study buddies! I love your Boston's name! That is great and one I have not heard! You should add a photo so we can all see 🙂

Hey, I am so sorry about Jada..that is too young to lose a dog. 🙁

I know what you mean about these dogs–they are the sweetest dogs! Birdy is getting up there in age, so we keep talking about getting him a buddy, I agree with you, I could have a whole herd of Boston's. I will try to add a pic, can you send me the link on how to upload the photo?!!

@yankee: Thanks about Jada…she was the sweetest Boston and we miss her dearly. My Lilo certainly missed her and Marley has been a great Boston to get to know and we love her tons! My parents have 3, brother has 1 and sister in-law has 1! Family get togethers are a riot 🙂

It is strange how it works because you register with them and it shows up here…I think you have to use the same email or something…I got it to work fairly easily, but it was awkward and I wasn't convinced it was working…LOL!

Audit tomorrow, so I am going to ban myself from this forum until after so I can focus on wrapping up a few things before my 5pm exam…see you all after!

Hey Iwannabacpa,

Glad to hear Audit wasn't the worst. I took 3 last window and passed all but Audit. Go figure. I was mad at myself. I didn't do so well on the sims. Funny because I felt strongest on audit. Need to nail it in August. Best of luck to you! As I said before, I think you are on a roll!

Birdy is my little sweetheart. Of course, they are all sweethearts, Jada, Marley, and Lilo too. Boston's are a great breed. I would love to see pics of your other dogs too! Jada has that wonderful classic Boston coloring. Love it. I got Birdy from a breeder when we were in Chicago at about 7 weeks old. He broke his right leg 3 times. (long story!)The last time, he had surgery done and they put in pins that stuck out of his leg. I felt so bad for him, he was a little over a year old, but he got so good at walking/running on 3 legs it was incredible to watch. He is a sweet dog, a bit tentative, but he was in a doctors office for about a year with his leg, so he had his reasons. My study buddy. 🙂
