Congrats cpamommy! I am a week out and scoring in the low to mid to 60's on WTB MCQ's. Any words of wisdom or encouragement?

    Congrats CPAMommy!

I've seen a lot of your comments on other posts in regards to FAR prep – they've been really helpful. Thank you. Hopefully I can finish this exam as well – taking it on the 19th 😛

    Good luck on Reg.

@wannabe–My suggestion is to go over your problem sections one by one for the last week. Read over each section of notes/ninja notes and then do as many MCQ as you can stomach for that section, then go to the next section. Make notes of the concepts/formulas that you are still getting wrong and make a one page study sheet to look over the morning of the test. You won't be able to go through all of your notes that day, but a last minute look at the things you keep having problems with never hurts. If you need to spend a few minutes when you get to the test jotting down some of the memorization items at the top of your board just so you can clear your mind of those things while you are testing and please, please, please do not let the medium/hard/hard myth that you are doing well be a factor on exam day. It is all subjective to whoever is taking the test and there is no guide as to how each person will react to each question. What is hard for you may not be considered hard for someone else. I let it get to me that my testlets were getting a little easier (less wordy) and I think I psyched myself out a little. Last note-I left 2 hours for SIMS and used the entire time. I searched everything I could in the AL and it helped me find some info and change a couple of my answers. Use it if you have enough time. I don't flag MCQ that I am unsure of because I know I won't take the time to go back and look over them anyways so seeing a bunch of flags may be a blow to your confidence going into the SIMS. I don't know if any of this will help, but I wish you lots of luck and a great study week! You can do it!

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

@CPANOVICE–I basically learned from the WTB testbook link feature and using the MCQ. I think I only watched one or two lectures and read half of the Wiley book for FAR. I've studied differently for each test and FAR just seemed like a “learn by doing” kind of test.

@Beat_Counter–Good luck on your AUD result!
