CPA release score for current college students

I had a question regarding CPA exam scores being released while an individual is still enrolled in college. I am an undergrad graduating in May. I saw something on the NASBA website that said if a college student takes any section prior to graduation, their scores will not be released until NASBA receives their final official transcripts.

Does anyone have any insight into this or have any personal experience with this issue?

    Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure you can't take the exam before you graduate.

You're allowed to if within 6 months you will be CPA eligible in terms of school credits.

@jking12, what state is this? I thought you couldn't if it was under 120 credits

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

You have to graduate in order to take the exams. There is no 6 month rule in California.

I believe I am in the same situation you are in. I'll be graduating in May with 150, but I am taking my first part (REG) in February. In New York you are allowed to sit for the exam if you have 120 credit hours and courses that cover specific accounting areas.

I'm curious where you found that our scores won't be released until we graduate from the NASBA site. I know that once we graduate we have to send in our final transcript, but I'm not sure if they are going to withhold our scores until we do so. Let's hope not!

I don't know if this applies to just Washington State or not. I'd check the NASBA website for your state. I'm taking REG 1/30 and don't really want to wait until mid-May to receive my score!
