Jeff — I’m not sure if this is kosher with you, so if it’s not, feel free to just delete the thread (and sorry).

Ok, so I’m going to post a few links that really helped me get through the CPA exam…now for those of you who don’t know me (so…everyone), I am a habitual procrastinator. HOWEVER, I do assert that having given myself a regular reprieve from my studies proved to be an invaluable part of my success! With that being said, if you are up against the wire and need to get some studying done, just click the back button now…if you proceed to click, you may get distracted for hours! I really do think that taking your mind off of dependency exemptions and partnership tax calculations for awhile can be very helpful. Some of you may have already heard of these…they’re not exactly brand new!

http://www.stumbleupon.com (Yes, you have to create an account and I’m sorry…but I promise it’s worth it. Basically a cascading avalanche of websites/blurbs/images correlated to your own personal interests. Just a taste 🙂 — https://www.stumbleupon.com/su/2PWrRR/baseballbatyouth.com/browser-wars.jpg)

Once again, not trying to get anyone derailed (so use responsibly!), but I know from personal experience how important it can be to unwind every few hours to maintain one’s sanity.

I smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and think about my ex. That keeps me busy

As a former pack-a-day smoker and victim of a vicious break-up, I feel your pain! I say for now, smoke up! But when you're ready to move on with all aspects of your life, I suggest trying to quit then. Not because of health or any of the other “go-to” reasons people give for quitting smoking (although all viable reasons), but rather because it is SO much harder to have any sort of relationship with a woman these days if you smoke.

As for the interim, if it makes you feel good, smoke on, brotha! Also, go out with some friends, hit the bars, meet some girls and have some fun…try to put her out of your head for awhile (easier said than done, I know).
