Auditor, You are correct that there are scores that trickle in on the other 3 exams because those people MAY be borderline. I got my FAR grade 2 hours after scores were released and I got a 76. You don't get much more borderline than that. BEC is a totally different ballgame because it is completely computer generated and computer graded. There is no curve but questions are weighted differently depending upon the number of candidates in that wave who got it right. If everyone gets a question right then it is deemed to be an easy question. If only 50% of the people got it right then it is deemed to be medium to hard and is worth more points. BEC is not adaptive so the testlets don't get harder during the test. In FAR, AUD and REG they know how many points each question is worth before you start the exam. But in BEC the questions are weighted AFTER the exam. That is why you can't get your BEC score a soon as you press the done button on the screen. You see you really can't be borderline in BEC. All of this information is on the AICPA's website if anyone wants to take the time to read all about adaptive testing. Saying that if you don't have your score by now means you probably failed or almost failed does nothing but destroy peoples hopes. But there has to be an order to the score release. Computers don't work on chaos. They have method and order or they give you the blue screen of death.

I'm not sure if anyone feels this way, but the moment I finished FAR, I've been anxiously waiting to get my score. Now that the ball is rolling and scores are being released, I'm not sure I want it anymore.

No. Borderline scores are usually the SECOND or THIRD batch of scores released of a section. In this particular window, certain states are testing a new process, so if you haven't received your score it means you will be going through the normal process (10:00 pm the day after the AICPA releases the scores).

noo, so the 12000 scores that were released were everything. but say tomorrow they RELEASE 2000 more…typically those 2000 would be borderline. the time of night your get your score has no bearing on what your score is. whatever the second batch released is usually borderline. make sense?

    FAR 78
    REG 78
    AUD 77
    BEC took 11/12

Correct. Also, even States that have started to release scores today, haven't release them all at the same time. It's a different process, that's for sure.

    FAR 88 - BEC 86 - AUD 90 - REG 85
