What used to happen is NASBA would tweet that the AICPA released scores for any given section, and people in NASBA states would be able to retrieve their score online starting the following evening at around 10pm Eastern time. The site would crash as a result, and people would spend hours trying to check their score (I used to just wait til the next morning).
However, during this window the score release was changed in such a way that people could see scores sometimes instantaneously once they were made aware of the AICPA release.
Example: I took FAR in October, the NASBA tweet was Thurs Nov 17 and Friday morning I saw a score (maybe arrived earlier than that, but I hadn't checked). Under the old process, I wouldn't have had a score until at least Friday @ 10pm, possibly Monday.
I am in PA, but this seems to ring true for other NASBA states as well.
