I took FAR on the 24th. It made for a tiring Thanksgiving, that's for sure. I have found that when I walk out of an exam and think I've passed, I usually failed. Conversely I've had the experience with BEC that I knew that I failed and ended up passing. With Audit and Reg however I walked out and felt nothing, just a hollow feeling and a need to get something to eat. When i've gotten this score I've gotten in the 80s. Oddly, I came out of FAR and had that empty feeling, and need to get something to eat. The further away from FAR, the better I feel about it… If I passed, it's my last one. If I didn't… well I have one shot in January before losing BEC. Arg.

So for those of us continuing to take the exam as 2011 starts, do we need to get new Becker (etc) materials? Have they even made new materials? If I already paid a gazillion dollars for Becker, do I have to do it again, or will they give me a free update? I'm taking audit in January…I'm hoping that one isn't going to change as much as the others. :/

If you are still within your Becker 18 month window they will send you the updated CDs and ebooks for free. You have to place an order for the sections you need. If you would like a hard copy of the ebook it's $20 a section.

so whats the official unofficial score prediction, the 22 for AUD? I got kind of confused by the vid and I am dying to get my score back, I feel really good about it which is making me very nervous haha

Thanks DestinedCPA! I had no idea. I'll have to go track that down… and get my eligibility process started to take AUD on January 10th. Sigh. I hope the process isn't as slow as usual with that and the NTS.. that'll make me nervous.

I believe the scoring usually goes BEC, AUD, FAR, REG. It changes though but I'm pretty sure thats the general theme

I took REG at the end of November and waiting for my score is killing me. It's my last section! (Hopefully).

When are scores expected to be released? Are the scores usually released earlier in the 4th quarter due to the holidays?

Jeff predicts a Dec. 14/15 release for BEC! hopefully he is right! He thinks that most of the scores should definitely be released before Christmas.

If I had any patience, I'd wait till after Christmas to check my score so not to ruin the holidays….but that'll never happen. I get the texts from NASBA, so I'll know when scores have been released. Of course, that doesn't stop me from checking to see if its been posted every day. CPA exam has made me crazy.

cpagirl1986, you are not alone. CPA has ruiined my life. Sometimes, I just wanna give up and move on. I failed BEC twice and just took it again on 11/23. I don't feel anything since I feel like I am immuned from failure. Anyway, hang on there, it will be over soon.

Cev… you might need to change the way you are studying for audit. Being a tax guy I had to take audit and BEC several times. I had to outline each chapter and take notes to really have the material sink in. I did every Becker MC question several times… you will eventually pass. How much time a week were you dedicating to audit?

Also remember… once you pass, no one asks you how many times you took the test… just if you passed. Some people can take these tests and pass all 4 in 1 shot… others need to take them multiple times…which is completely fine.

This test is not about knowledge, it’s about discipline, endurance and dedication….

If you want your CPA that bad… never give up.
