Jeff,

I saw a BEC release this year close to Nov 12 as well, so you are definitely right. I didn't mean to make it sound like your predictions were not realistic, just that the AICPA is not bound to those dates, so nothing is guaranteed unfortunately. Lame

For both BEC and REG I walked out of the test feeling bad (and for REG I was convinced I failed) and then ended up doing well. It's so hard to tell with these tests! So don't get down on yourself…think positive and who knows, maybe you did better than you felt! I'll keep my fingers crossed 🙂

Meanwhile…waiting on this FAR score is killing me. I know not to expect it for a while but I can't help watching the BEC release to at least know the process has started!

I took AUD on Nov. 8th. Since they are pushing the release date back from Jeffs original prediction, is there any chance that the cutoff date of the 7th could be pushed back to lets say the 8th? Isnt the cutoff date a prediction as well or is it set in stone by the AICPA?

@ at_heart: I, too, felt badly after leaving BEC. I had consistently been scoring 90-100% on Becker's simulations for B1-B4, and 85% on B5, but left the actual exam feeling I'd be lucky to pass. A good friend of mine who took BEC in Q3-2010 said he'd had trouble with 15 questions, but he landed an 83. How many questions did you struggle with on BEC, as you clearly did quite well. Congrats and best wishes on your FAR score!

I took BEC back in February so I don't remember an exact number I struggled with but there was at least a MC section worth that I was like “it's this one…but this is what it said in Becker…but this sounds more right…” and stuggled back and forth. I think if you go with your gut you'll end up right more often than not. Are you waiting on a BEC score now? Hopefully you guys will hear today (or…eek! tomorrow)

Thanks for the luck with the FAR score. I ordered the ethics exam the other day but I can't bring myself to start it until I find out if I passed and am finally done with this craziness! Don't want to jinx myself, you know?

@ at_heart – yah, I'm waiting on a BEC score now. Studying for AUD exam on Nov 29. When you say “an MC section,” do you mean a few problems or just one? I had the same experience you described with a few MCQs. Thanks for your info.

I meant there was almost an entire section where I doubted/second-guessed myself on the questions. I think the stress of the exam does it to you. I'm sure you did well! With all the preparing we do, a lot of it is ingrained in our brains and we don't even realize it. I'm definitely ready to be done with it. I'll keep hoping for a release today for you!
