Dear All,
I was working on some statistics for the CPA exam, and looking for some help here. The idea or the conclusion I am reaching may help a lot of candidates whom are failing the same part multiple times like my case with REG.
Please bare with me for a second, and here is my analysis, part of the scoring mechanism is how the other candidates are doing on the same part in the same window, also the statistics are showing that the lowest passing rates are in Q1&Q4 windows.
The idea is, if the others are not doing well in the same part and the same window for whatever the reason is, you will have an edge by 5-6 points that can make all the difference between 69 and 75. My own idea is that less candidates whom are working for CPA firms will be able sit for the exams during those 2 windows due to Q3 reviews and the year end audits, those candidates have more access to information and hands on training for the exam aspects.
Based on the above if you have failed an exam section multiple times because there some sort of inability to master that part or if you are first timer and you feel there is a doubt about your ability to master certain parts it is better to take that part in either Q1 or Q4 exam windows.
I need your help in defeating this theory, otherwise it will be a valid one.
