Jeff, help me! Why is it some of us that took our test before others haven't gotten our scores yet? I know people that took the test on the 13th and have there scores!

    Haze-

How the hell is Jeff supposed to know. Honestly. You've gone through this score process before and its a crapshoot. Some people take it Nov 11 and get their score a week later and some people get bumped. Or occasionally, some states release in waves, and so other people in your state may have gotten their score and maybe you will be later on.

But freaking out asking Jeff to help isnt going to solve everything. I agree, the scoring process is difficult, but theres nothing we can do about it except check our scores when we hear scores are released.

daburgaman, I do not expect Jeff to help me in that sense. He may have had logical reason why I haven't received my score. Yes, I have gone through the scoring process but my score came out on time last quarter so I haven't experience this!

So, it looks like I'm taking BEC again….ugh…74 here!

I used the Becker program, and it just doesn't seem to do it for me. I end up memorizing the questions and then drawing a blank on exam day. Don't get me wrong, it's very thorough, but I think I need to try a new program.

After visiting this site regularly, I'm pretty much convinced to move on to Yaeger. However, I have 2 questions:

1- Does it offer practice exams similar to the actual test format, or is that just a Becker thing?

2- Should I invest in the IFRS supplement? Obviously that will be a challenge to tackle in 2011 and I want to make sure I have my bases covered.

Good luck to those of you still waiting on scores. And if you're in my shoes just remember (for pride and motivation sake): You only have to take the exam 1 time to pass, so for all we know that was your first time! šŸ˜‰

    …just a little thing a CPA taught me…

Haze, I thought/heard that if you get bumped into a different wave it's because you had a new sim.

So is there any possibility AUD could get released today????????????????????

Can somebody give me a cliffsnotes version of what happened last night? As of the last time I checked, there were 14 pages of convo yesterday. Now it's up to 56 and can't afford to read through to get caught up. Did BEC scores get released last night or was there some kind of glitch/website crash?

I'm waiting on AUD and I'm hoping that scores will be up tonight. I realize that's highly unlikely especially if there were issues with the BEC release last night. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

And the answer is, there isnt a logical reason. There are many flaws to the scoring system, but this is the way they do it and theres nothing we can do about it. They are moving in the right direction with the same day score release, but the system isnt perfect. So for now, you just deal with it, follow the site, see when scores start posting and check your score to see if it appears. If not, then unfortunately, you wait, which sometimes might only be for a day. A lot of the time, there will be multiple score releases, so they may release say another 1,000 BEC scores today and you may be in the wave.

Just show a little patience and dont kill yourself over this. Its a test and any of us getting angry, complaining to Nasba, etc isnt going to make anything better.

Found out I failed BEC on my first attempt with a 73. I have to say I predicted it exactly. I knew I didn't bomb it, but I felt like I didn't pass. I just hope this new format doesn't mess me up when I take it in January. What a disappointment though. It really sucks to feel like I'm starting right back at the beginning. All I can do is focus 100% on REG, which I am taking on the 27th.

What I really want to know is… who can afford to take these exams over and over again? As far as I'm concerned, this can be my one and only failing grade.

@Haze sorry I just remembered there aren't any sims on BEC so who knows why you didn't get your score back already.

Linzi, did you just get your score? Bammers, that may hold true for other test but not for BEC since it has no SIMS. Daburgaman, I hear you but I work off logic and I need for things to make sense to me. Had they simply told me that scores would be out a week from now or whatever I'd be cool with that but what frustrates me is the lack of transparency. Accepting the way the AICPA & NASBA work doesn't mean I shouldn't be frustrated with the process,I don't care if I have been dealing with it for 2 years. It needs to get better

Linzi, I would assume everything you need to know about IFRS is included in the course you buy (FAR/BEC/AUD).

    That is just a guess.

I always wondered what the supplement was for. Jeff???? any idea what the purpose of the IFRS supplement is?

Sorry for not responding to individual questions…I try, but can't keep up with it. My inbox had 30 e-mails in it this morning šŸ™‚

I'm usually pretty good about responding to e-mails.

I have an area in Club 75 called “Jeff's Inbox” and I answer those daily – Club 75 costs a penny to join.

Just an option. I do my best to answer questions on here…sorry for not answering all of them – hard to keep up šŸ™‚

@cpaindiana and @dandeman…I'm in Indiana waiting on my AUD score from 10/19. I'm not getting my hopes up that it will be out before Monday but…it would be really nice to have it before the weekend!
