It's unlikely the score release will be slower than it was for Q2, 2011. We are still test subjects for the new 2011 format(as they gather statistics)…but score release has only been getting faster since Q1 (albeit only a bit faster). Q2 they came out the very beginning of the 3rd week of June (like June 20something I think?), with pretty much all sections released to NASBA over like 2-3 days. So I think we can expect same for Q3 – that once they start releasing the 1st section to NASBA on 9/19 or 9/20, the other sections will follow in the next 2 days or so.
Jeff told us that rumors about Hurricane Irene slowing down the release (in his podcast) aren't true – they won't affect our release. For the few folks who were forced to take an exam in Sept due to the hurricane, you might have a delay in score release (not sure though)
Of course, starting Q4, 2011 score release is going to be the quickest it's ever been (I think)……So basically we Q3 folks have to hang in there for what should be the last of these long score release waits…sucks but I guess it's the way it goes…
I pray that I do not have to wait on another score, even if it takes 2 days to get it. This has been one of the most unproductive weeks in a long while.
BEC 91 08/22/2010
AUD 96
REG 90
FAR 81 07/24/2011 Done! I can't believe it
I had my last exam, BEC, scheduled as Hurricane Irene's path was heading to Miami. I ended up switching my date up earlier for fears the exam would be postponed to the next testing period. As a result I gave up my final cram time just to take the exam in August. The Hurricane ended up passing Florida, but better safe than sorry. Heres to hoping Irene didn't mess up my streak.
mrcpa, the way I understand it is that the loophole only works after AICPA releases scores to NASBA (next week) and only if you're waiting on your final score. I've waited a year to even try it LOL!
If you are a candidate in a NASBA state, you can try the loophole. You do not need an OH jurisdiction number; you can use your SSN.
The loophole does not work until NASBA announces that scores have been released from the AICPA. There are several hours in between the time of the AICPA release and NASBA's posting of scores online. It is in that window, you can try to re-register for the exam score you are waiting for. It has always proven true for me: if I can re-register, I have failed and if not, then I passed.
It's not 100%. There are people who re-register and end up passing and vice versa. I have tried it already and nothing has changed. If I see my status date change on OASIS https://onlineapps.nasba.org/oasis/cpaesOasis.php I'll try it again.
