samissmileyMemberHey everyone, just discovered this forum. I took my very first exam (FAR) in August. Didn't feel good about it so I'm kind of debating if I should keep studying for FAR or start another section. I can't believe some of you have been waiting since the beginning of July for your score, this is torture!

katelynParticipantAfter taking a test (as long as it isn't your last one), I always start studying for the next one. There's no sense in a) dragging it out or b) wasting precious time out of your 18 months if you passed. By the time you sit for your next test, you'll have your scores for FAR, and you'll know whether to move on to test #3 or go back to FAR.

I have a question – This september will be my first time checking for scores and i have no clue where u guys get the number to check for the scores on the NASBA site. Can someone give me a quick lesson as to which number i use to check for my scores. Is in my NTS#? And if so which numbers the first 3 or the last 3 and what do i do when the scores are released to check my score.
Thanks in advance.

Orleans CandidateParticipantThis s#!t aint even right honestly. I am sorry but I try to maintain my professional composier but I have to let the ghetto out of me now. This is my last exam and my first exam expires Oct. 12. So I just want to know my damn score. I can't even sleep until these scores come out. Absolute unnecessary torture that they are putting us all through. For godsakes it is a computerized exam. The scoring process should be just a little bit faster than this. If I have to keep studying that's ok with me. It's just the uncertainty that is putting me and my family through hell right now.

Although it's unfortunate that your scores are nearing expiration during this prolonged “measurement phase,” it may be in your best interest to prepare for the worst, i.e. reapply/reregister for the exam you are waiting on scores for AND study for it/them as if you failed. As soon as you get your new NTS, you'll be prepared and ready to register within a few days, if there are slots open prior to Oct. 12th (which there likely will be).
I know it's a couple hundred dollars, but I think it's worth it even if you passed and the money is forfeited. If you fail and don't prepare as suggested, you'll have to deal with it all over again with the expired exam AND the one you failed. Eeeee!
What scores are you waiting for?
By the way, the hell you and your family have put up with is ALMOST OVER! Revel in that fact and keep going.

mlb749Member@AlmondCoins, or anyone that knows the answer…. is it possible to reregister for the exam they just took if the score has not been received yet? I am waiting for my score for FAR. I was under the impression I couldn't schedule to sit for it again until I get that score back. I tried and I got the message on the computer saying something to the effect of “Exam still in progress”. Is there a way to schedule before receiving the score?
September 13, 2011 at 12:20 pm #295973
AnonymousInactiveYou can't re-register with NASBA for a new NTS until you receive your score.

Abe Lincoln once said “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” Keep these inspirational words in mind as you wait for your CPA exam scores.

AnonymousInactiveI expect to have a very bad grade in REG. So, I'm not going to pray for a miracle. What I'm going to pray for is the will and determination to keep on studying and not lose hope when I get my bad score. Since I'm already half way there, I can't lose my self esteem. I need to fight to pass these last two parts… REG and BEC.

mla1169ParticipantKeeptrying I am particularly fond of the tweet a few minutes ago from NASBA “Are audits rushed to keep fees low?”
Well the AICPA certainly takes their time and couldn't care less about the fees. So why do I keep hoping for a miracle? LOL! Wouldn't we all be head over heels in love with them if they released scores, say….today?
I might even go get a heart shaped tattoo with ‘AICPA' written across it. What a proclamation of my love!
So, as a spin off of the famous “what would you do for a Klondike bar?” commercials……what would you do to get your scores today?

james__wParticipant@Allyson–Last window, I re-registered for AUD without my score. I assumed I failed when it let me re-register. However, I received a passing score. The loop-hole has worked more than it hasn't, but it isn't an end-all be all. BTW, getting a refund was a lot easier than I anticipated.
