ahhh the wait.. third testing window that I have had to wait for what seems forever … maybe this one will be different! Isn't the saying 4th time is a charm??? because this is number 4 for auditing and I am not sure I could handle another failing grade!

    REG - 81 11/28/10
    BEC - 77 10/30/10

    @whenindoubt,

I know exactly what you are feeling. I've compared it to Brooks from Shawshank Redemption- although he was out of prison, he was so institutionalized he couldn't function in the real world. I myself am having a hard time kicking back and enjoying anything while awaiting this score, I keep feeling drawn to my review software.

I am finding it sooo hard to wait for these scores~!! I am a rookie at this and I don't know how folks have been doing it. I am trying my best to focus on REG but it is soooo hard! My original goal was to wait until after I take REG to get my score for FAR ( don't want negative results to mess me up) but I don't think that I can do it!. UUUGGGGHHHHH

I really hope that they do start releasing the scores within two-week in Q4 because this wait is a BEAST.

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

    @ Whenindoubt –

I'm right there with you… Seriously, what did I DO before I started studying? I feel kind of lost not having the guilt of feeling like I should be studying for SOMETHING.

I know the scores won't be out for another ~3 weeks, but I was saving the score release website as a bookmark and entered my section ID just in case they were out early. (I know this is impossible, but the CPA exam does strange things to logic and reason.)

Question: When I entered my section ID, I noticed that my attendance date is blank. I took the exam on 08/29. Is this normal? Will it stay blank until scores are released? (first timer)

I live in TX which is a non-NASBA state so I didn't use the NASBA site to check anything. However, I checked the TX site right after each of my exams to make sure their records showed I'd taken the exam. They did post the information, but it didn't show up until 2-3 business days after I'd taken the exam.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

eatrun, it will stay blank. The website you are looking at is NASBA, and as of right now only the AICPA knows for sure that you actually took the test already. The next communication between the AICPA and NASBA will be when AICPA releases the scores, so you won't even see the date you took the exam until then.

Is it me or is waiting for #4 WORSE than all of the other ones combined? I need to know if I have a life again or not!

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

I sat for FAR & BEC this last testing window which were my 1st 2 exams. I'm taking this week off before I start studying for REG next week. I don't know what to do with all this free time this week LOL

Totally agree! I don't know what to do with myself! It is a brief look into what life will be like if I am done, but I can't get my hopes up and start enjoying all of this freedom too much yet.

Well, just took Audit today. Talk about a cage fight. I hope I came out on top. Came out the gate swinging in the multi's and then the sims just came in from behind with a low blow. Hope I did well enough to pass lol. Gonna be hard to get the motivation to study for REG while waiting for two scores. At least we can all exhale for a minute and hope for the best. It really is difficult to determine how you did walking out of one of these exams. Whenever anyone asks me, I always say it went ok but I don't know and they never understand the fact that someone can have no idea how they did on the exam after taking it. Good luck to all and I hope everyone passes. Hard work pays off in the end!

On a side note, has anyone here started working in auditing at the Big 4 during busy season (January) without any audit experience. I interned in tax but changed my mind and accepted an offer to start in Audit. Was wondering if I am setting myself up for “mission impossible” or if it's not a huge deal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    B - 80 - 07/25/2011
    A - 86 - 08/31/2011
    R - 80 - 10/14/2011
    F - 80 - 11/30/2011

@jjp: The “How do you THINK you did” question might be more annoying than studying itself. Why can't anyone accept an honest “I don't know”?

A sharp, I've started answering “good” to that question. No sense trying to explain. OR I told my mother its like asking someone at a convenience store if the lottery ticket they just bought is a winner. We all think so……but it doesn't mean a single thing until the numbers show up!

My new one is this. When people ask if I got my scores yet, I say “yes, I did but I am not revealing them to anybody until the end of September”

Make them think I am torturing THEM. bwahaahahaa!!
