I don't expect to see my score for FAR until the end of this month, since I took it after the 20th. Is it normal for the NASBA site to show no indication I even took the exam ? It shows N/A..I was looking to see the word “pending” or something else in the score area.

@alecia18210 yes that's normal for the AICPA site to give no indication that you took the exam. Usually it doesn't update until hours after your score is visable on the score release website.

Is BEC usually the last of the scores to be released? I got the results for FAR and AUD around 11:00 AM, REG didn't come out until 3:30 PM in CT.

    FAR - 93
    AUD - 89
    REG - 87
    BEC - 85

    Ethics - 98

Still Waiting for AUD score, Friday May 2, 8:08 am Eastern time zone. Still nothing posted yet.

Checking both score release and NAMBLA site regularly

Yes I know it's called NASBA but I call it NAMBLA (that's a little South Park humor for ya)

Michelle, I think you mean “BEC”. Not “BED”.

No clue regarding the release times as this really seems to be an amateur type of operation, they obviously have to seed their random number generator in order to get precisely their targeted pass/fail rates of between 45-55%

Nature dictates that there should be naturally occurring fluctuations in the pass rates but somehow they manage to keep it right in the target zone, quarter over quarter

This fact, combined with the delayed (not instantaneous, even thought it is a CBT Computer Based testing) score computation, leads me to believe that the whole freakin' thing is totally rigged

I read an article not too long ago that speculated that the pass-fail rate is actually determined by the number of retiring CPAs in any given year and that drives the number of FRESHLY MINTED cpa license that the Aicpa can produce.

    Sort of like, quota system

    REG - 76 - 4/2/2014

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the score is based on if you give them high marks on the post-exam survey. If you give them low marks, then they fail you. If you only have glowing rave reviews about the aicpa and nambla, then you pass

    Sorta like “YELP”, except backwards.

In America, you study CPA exam.

In Soviet Russia, CPA exam study YOU!
