@misanthrope87 I'm not a fan of having to wait till Friday. Maybe the CBA will hurry it up and we'll get our FAR scores tomorrow?

    BEC 82 (10/5/2011)
    AUD 90 (1/5/2012)
    REG 86 (2/29/2012)
FAR *5/31/2012 (first time I'm champing at the bit for my score)

482 – AUD in GA. I left the exam not feeling defeated so I am cautiously optimistic for tomorrow.

    BEC: 01/09/12 PASSED
    AUD: 05/29/12 PASSED
    REG: 07/19/12 PASSED
    FAR: 11/12/12 PASSED

OK – Here is my predicament..

I took REG on 5/30 and if I pass, I am done. If I fail I have another shot to re-take before I loose credit for FAR, which I highly want to avoid.

Here's the kicker, I leave for a week long vacation in 3 hours to a Caribbean (big surprise I can't sleep given the exam and vacation I know…)

Should I check my score as soon as they are released, or should I not think about it and wait until after my vacation to see if I am done?

If I pass I will obv be super relieved and extremely happy. If I failed, then I will be upset and probably will end up thinking about how I have to go right back to the study and work (i.e. 80 hour weeks) schedule right when my vacation ends.

I figure pass or fail, there is nothing I can do about it now, so I was leaning towards waiting until after the vacation to check because I think me potentially being upset for the entire week of my vacation outweighs the feeling of relief and accomplishment if I passed…I think I need some help with this “cost-benefit” analysis. Any input is well received!

Also, one thing is a lock either way, and that is I know I'll have a reason to drink either way…

@aloco- I would check, as I suspect that if you do not, you will obsess during your holiday. And as disappointing as NOT passing will be if this indeed turns out to be the case, you'll know what to do next time AND you'll have necessary pressure. Hang in there, and enjoy the Carribean!

    Hi Aloco,

I was in a similar situation. I was in the Carribean last year during score release and I waited to check my score until I got back home because if I failed I didn't want to ruin my vacation. So when I got back home I checked as soon as possible and found out I passed Aud! Goodluck and enjoy your vacation!

    AUD - Passed 88
    REG - Passed 87
    BEC - Passed 78
    FAR - Passed 75

    @ AgentKate and kambsa –

Thanks fir the input. I'm still undecided and it appears so far 1 for checking and 1 for waiting.

I have been laying in bed thinking about this and I think the only way for me to not be consumed with my decision and the accompanying result, whether it be good or bad, is to take the decision away from me.

I am going to flip a coin, that way the decision is made independent of my conscious mind and 100% up to chance.

Heads I check, tails I wait..

I will flip before I board, assuming the scores will then be released when I get off the plane, if I end up with heads…

Caribbean CPA, I definitely vote for check! I understand the situation you're in BUT I think your vacation will be MORE ruined by the anxiety of wondering and not knowing than it would be by the disappointment of knowing you failed. Anxiety is worse to me than discouragement because at least with the discouragement you KNOW the plan of action ahead of you, IE. take it again! I hate uncertainty personally.

Also, if you check, you will have an excuse to drink no matter which outcome you see 😉

Up at 4:30 this morning because of thinking about AUD. Hoping by the end of Friday this 13-mo stress-fest is behind me. If not, it's time to start studying for a 4th time on AUD. I really have no idea how I did and wouldn't be surprised to easily pass or fail. Good luck to everyone hoping or expecting to see scores today, myself included.

    FAR - 82
    REG - 84
    BEC - 88
    AUD - 68, 71, 96

It's starting to kick in. I'm sitting here feeling like I'm going to throw up, and bargaining to no one. Please please please just give me this ONE and I'll be a better studier from here on out I promise? UGH today could make or break things for awhile. I DON'T want to take that again. I feel like I forgot everything already, and now to have to restudy it on top of the new stuff I'm studying? blahhhhh
