Ya'll are not old! I technically should of graduated in 2005. I switched majors and worked two jobs through my college career……It took me a while to get my degree. I graduated from UH in 2008 (yikes!). I went back in 2009/2010 to take the remaining classes I needed.

Hey everyone! I took FAR on May 31st, and i think i failed =( I know that each test let is supposed to get progressively harder, and that's what worries me ! The 1st one involved alot of lengthy calculations, and i did not do a good job with time management. I took about an hour and 15 minutes for the 1st one itself( gosh, way over the budgeted 45 minutes), and the 2nd test let consisted of calculation intensive lengthy questions. I took 1 hr and 15 minutes for that, leaving me VERY little time for the 3rd one and simulations. The 3rd test let was much easier than the 1st 2 ones( which probably means i didn't do too well on the 2nd one 🙁

I am sad because i think i got nervous and panicked during the exam which lead to very poor time management. I also noticed that a few chapters were heavily tested on all 3 sections, so does that mean i performed poorly on those topics ? I also left 1 entire simulation blank and guessed somewhat on the rest. Is there any chance i could still have a chance to pass? All i want is a 75 🙁

Good luck to everyone waiting on their scores! Hope you guys pass! All the best.

Thanks again @hopefulCPAsomeday– I'll keep my fingers crossed that you cross this REG test– it always feels really nice when you pass that first one.

@Angie– hopefully we'll both be celebrating tomorrow (or Friday) that we are done with this darn thing. I have to go back to school after this though… I graduated with 144 hrs undergrad, so I have to get a couple more classes done before I'll get my license.

    BEC- 78 (10/2011)

Well Erin, good luck to you, I see you only have one section left as well! Are you in public accounting?

Texas is normally 1-2 days behind NASBA. I'm thinking we may get them Saturday morning (if lucky), if not Monday or even Tuesday. I've blown off all my friends calling/texting about my b-day b/c all I care about right now is my score.

@hopefulCPAsomeday I felt the same way the first 3 sections. I walked out after the marathon FAR thinking that couldn't have passed but I actually did pretty well. Don't assume the worst: especially now that you can't do anything to change that past score.

As far as Karma went- I definitely did not want to jinx myself. Lets just say- in my experience- if the test gets harder- its a good thing.

Has anyone received a hard 1st testlet itself 🙁 I feel like my 3rd testlet was much easier and less wordy than the 1st 2…with the 2nd one being the wordiest/most calculation intensive….i took 1 hr and 15 minutes on the 1st testlet itself ugh 🙁

@sc1984 if you did not pass: It may be because that you did not complete an entire simulation. However, there is a chance it was a pretest simulation and it won't matter. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

    Good luck

@cpacress, that's my fear, that the simulation i left totally blank will cause me to fail 🙁 Praying that it is a pre test one…sigh…i had only 40 minutes left for all the simulations..i really tried to manage my time well, but the 1st 2 testlets drained me out, and were too time consuming…all i want is a 75 🙁

Good luck to you on REG score! I hope you pass! All the best! I see that it is your last one, hope your journey will come to an end and you'll be a cpa!

Sc1984. Though I didn't leave a sim blank, I know I got 1 100% wrong cause I looked up that particular calculation when I got home and I did it totally wrong so no way for even partial credit. I might as well have left it blank. Hopefully yours and mine were pre-test. Or maybe somehow we killed the mcq and it won't matter. However in my case I don't have a good feeling. Good luck!

@Angie – When's your birthday? Mine's the 13th. I'm praying we get the scores Saturday morning! I work for a private company downtown. I actually started working here the last couple years before graduating. It was nice not having to look for a job! I had one waiting for me.
