@msangh Sometimes it's the quality, not quantity. I studied my face off using CPA Excel and failed REG and BEC. I switch to Yaeger and spent 1/3 of the time studying and passed. You'll get through this.

Has anyone ever found the NIU CPA review beneficial. I am thinking of switching over to Becker. Also, does anyone here work full time and passed an exam while working 45-50 hours a week, while having a family? If so, can you please give me some advice because I totally screwed up in my audit exam, as I got a 63. I really studied my butt off using the NIU CPA review, and also took practice tests with Gleim, but I am not doing something right.

Part of me wants to focus solely on studying, because working full time, sometimes I am so exhausted, that it takes twice as long to understand the material. Would it be a bad call on my part if I left my job and studied full time to get my CPA under my belt?

Moeed, I left my job to study passed FAR after 3 tries just found out my aud score was a 73, and all i do is study. I noticed that sometimes you get a test that relates to what you studied and other times the questions are out of left field. Just study again and retake its a common theme here. Dont worry a 63 isnt that bad, you will easily go up 10-15 points your next try.

moeed, I have used the NIU CPA review for REG and AUD correspondence so far and passed both sections first try studying these past two months. I listen to a lecture a day (finishing all the lectures in a week or so), and then read a book a day (takes about a week) and then answer the blackboard questions and review the things I don't properly understand. I probably study 6-8 hours a day for 3-4 weeks and then take the exam

I've found the study materials to be very helpful. Although I am not currently working, I learned very little in college since I missed 75% of my classes and took those classes about 6+ years ago. I've also spent the last year pursing a non accounting vocation. However, I decided to get my CPA in March, and I have no doubt in my mind that without the NIU CPA review I would have failed my exams.

Ugh, got a 63 on FAR :(. On the bright side, I took AUD this morning and I'm fairly confident I did well. Really not looking forward to studying through FAR again though.

So I'm a bit of a noob, but I want to make sure I have this right.

I take FAR on May 29th…according to the link in the OP, day 46 thru the end of the window will be posted on or about June 7.

So…if A=B and B=C, I should get my FAR grade back in a little less than 10 days after taking the test?

I'm done finally. Thanks for everybody's support on this site. I passed AUD after having to retake it because it expired. I can't believe it, I wanted to give up. I wished I would have used Gleim for the whole test. It's harder, but it pays off

@DeedzBJJ and @mmcgrad1, thanks for the feedback. You both definitely have some good points that I am thinking about. Its just so hard working like a madman and trying to study around that. I am going to sleep on this tonight and see how I feel tomorrow morning, since the wound is still fresh. Hopefully my motivation is higher than it was before, and that can carry me through the studying until July.
