If the whole county understood how bad Illinois operates Obama never would have been elected. And now Rahm wants to get rid of south lot and build a star wars museum! What is wrong with these people

Is the ilboa a gov't entity? B/c if so, I'm thinking of one easy way those geniuses in Springfield can lower the budget a bit…

    Drizzle, according to ILBOAs website:

“After the Examination, candidate responses are forwarded to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) for scoring. The responses are identified by Examination Section ID only. When advisory scores become available, the AICPA forwards them to National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) for processing, which involves matching the scores to individual candidates. NASBA then forwards the scores to boards of accountancy for approval and subsequent release to candidates.”

TRANSLATION: We don't use a fancy computer program like MS Excel that uses the VLOOKUP function to match scores to candidates, thus giving us the ability to timely release scores. The truth is that if we conducted audits in this manner, we'd likely not have any business, and would probably be investigated for billing fraud. Furthermore, we feel that if we can cause candidates to die of anxiety induced heart attacks, we will drive the average salary for living CPA's in the state up. Thank you.

NASBA matches the score to the student idk what takes Illinois so long doesn't it say somewhere they have to approve it at a board meeting? Which begs the question what do they have to approve they have the score?

When you do a score inquiry, it says:

“This is a listing of all current exams results. Be advised that all CPA examination scores for the current testing quarter (window) are advisory and must be approved by the Illinois Board of Examiners at an official board meeting.”

So it sounds like the Board meeting is after the score posting. But that the scores are technically subject to change if the Board does not approve them.

    REG - 94
    BEC - 92
    FAR - 92
    AUD - 99

According to this 2011 audit, the ILBOA is audited by the Illinois Auditor General (William Holland, you know – that guy that got a DUI while being the Auditor General, and is…still the Auditor General), so they are likely funded by the state.

I took BEC on April 1st and I was part of the first score release of the quarter that was also on a Monday. All NASBA states got their scores on Friday, and Illinois posted sometime Monday morning. I'm not sure what their problem is.

    AUD - Passed - 82 (10/1/13), Expires 4/1/2015 (57,62,64)
    BEC - Passed - 77 (7/14/14) (53,67,70,74) Half way to CPA!!!!
    REG - Passed - 81 (8/23/14) (68) 3 down 1 to go!!
    FAR - Passed - 75 (11/11/14) I'm DONE!!!!!
