KY FAR – 68
This was my first exam and I ran out of time studying – I only got through five of the ten chapters in my Becker program, and quickly skimmed 1 1/2 – 2 more chapters. I had plenty of time during the exam, and after completing all of the sims (and spending a lot of extra time on two of them) I still had an hour left. I didn't feel rushed or stressed, but there was definitely a distinction between what I had studied and what I hadn't touched.
I didn't reschedule because my next three exams are already scheduled, and I wanted to go ahead and see what the test was like, knowing that I probably couldn't pass. I still attacked it with confidence, and I'm not too disappointed with my result.
My strategy for FAR in October (and the other three exams coming up in July and August):
-Watching all of the lectures again
-Reading the book, making extra notes and really learning the calculations and journal entries
-Working all of the homework MCQs, taking notes on the incorrect questions or lucky guesses
-Working all sims
-Completing cumulative progress tests after each chapter
-Giving myself 1 – 2 weeks for comprehensive review, including many progress tests and the two practice exams
-Taking breaks when I feel overwhelmed, but not walking away for more than a day
FAR is broad, but it isn't complicated. I'm excited about my next attempt. Meanwhile, back to AUD!
Congratulations to everyone who passed!
