I hope so, Soon CPA. I just want to pass 1 right now to get my gumption up!! I think it's mental. As much as I felt OK going into the REG exam (I ended up with a 67), I think I psyched myself out for the 3 or 4 weeks leading up to it. Looking back, I think I only really studied and concentrated the most the 4 days before when I sat at home and studied straight through the days. If I would have done that, at least every weekend leading up to it, I'm sure I would have passed.

    I'll Pass Eventually
    REG (67, 66), BEC (79), FAR (5/26/10), AUD (August 2010)

    Glutenator:

No matter how much time I give myself I ALWAYS wind up procrastinating… My new strategy worked though.

I made sure not to schedule my test too close to the end of the testing window.

That way a week before if I wasn't ready I just paid the extra $35 to push it back ONE week. Its worth it when you think about it. I wound up cramming the week before the “5 days before the exam resched deadline” cause I knew I was starting to cut it close… then decided to push it back a week… paying the $35 annoyed me enough to keep cramming the next 5 days and then I HAD to keep cramming the extra week I bought cause its only a week before the test…

I tricked myself into forcing myself to study intensely for 3 weeks. But it still always felt like I had to study cause it was always the last minute.

Otherwise I just procrastinate to death.

What state are you in? For example in my state you can hardly find a time-slot for a test in five days.

soon CPA – I agree! I scheduled my last exam about five weeks in advance and there was limited seating available even then! I am in NY.

    AUD - P (4/09), REG - P (5/09), BEC - P (8/09), FAR - P (11/09)

Jeff – you have the FAR NASBA release date wrong – it should ben 12/21, not 12/23.

    AUD - P (4/09), REG - P (5/09), BEC - P (8/09), FAR - P (11/09)
