Its great to know I am not the only one with hope. Indeed Jcoley, Thank goodness its Friday. On another note, apparently I am the last one on earth that heard of the change in the Alternative Minimum Tax. Anyone else gearing up for tax season….I would definitely give it a read. Its possible it will piss you off.

I live in midtown Manhattan and I am very grateful and fortunate that I was not greatly affected by this storm besides instead of taking the subway to work I now have to take a bus. I will be sitting for my last exam on Nov 18th and as with all my other exams I was very anxious as everyone else to get my score. This time around I feel very different and the way people are carrying on it somewhat makes me annoyed. Yes I would like to know my score as soon as possible but under the circumstances right now I'm happy I have electricity so that I can study at night to prepare for the exams and only God knows how many people would love to have that luxury we take for granted to not only study also but to warm their houses at night, take a hot bath or even charge a cell phone. Nov 18th will come and go and as the last seconds on my exam counts down I will be praying for a passing score to get over these exams and the wait will begin for the day I will get my score. Will I be thinking of the day the score will come? Of course I will. Will I be stressing over it?…under the circumstances, NO. There are more important things to consider.

Regardless, pass or fail, please keep the people truly affected by this storm in your prayers. Our anxiety waiting for test scores is piddly compared to what the people on the east coast and surrounding area are dealing with.

@Jinze88, No. Score release date was delayed a week or more. I am assuming we get them monday November 12 but that is just my estimate.

We have a right to be annoyed at the score release delay. Others have a right to be annoyed at us for being annoyed. Who is to judge on what we allowed to be annoyed about? However, people are going to voice their displeasure about a CPA exam score release delay on a CPA exam forum. We have a problem with the system (that appears flawed), not with those who are struggling in the wake of a natural disaster. There is a lot riding on these exams for all of us as we have sacrificed time with our spouses/children and have experienced our own hardships along the way with family emergencies, deaths, and other life events.
