AICPA offices are located in New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C., and North Carolina – these states were in the direct path of the hurricane. Sandy resulted in major devastation and some deaths. We should pray for the victims and families.

I am also waiting for test results, but I don't want it to overshadow the pain many victims are experiencing.

@edfeldLFC, if you copied and pasted that, he certainly has a lot of errors in the email for being a communications manager. Looking at the AICPA website, it looks like the exam team is located in Ewing, NJ. Fingers crossed their power gets restored soon so that they can finish grading and get the scores sent to NASBA.

@Maverick, the North Carolina office may have gotten some wind and rain from Sandy, but did not receive a direct hit in any way. DC was lucky enought o have a minor impact with no major damage like what is being seen in NJ and NY.

Seems like we have at least another 2 week wait. I think I will crack open my Regulations book. I hate to move on without knowing if I passed AUD, but if I did pass then I wasted two weeks if I didn't I would have to put REG on hold for the retake. #thestruggle

haha i typed that out as my personal email goes to my phone and I am currently on the worklaptop so those were the errors. But yeah at this point nothing we can do but pray for those affected by the hurricane, and hope we get our scores as soon as possible

I completely understand why this is so frustrating for candidates, myself included. But the fact of the matter is, we should all feel really lucky that this may be the worst thing going on in our lives right now. So we have to wait an extra week or more… We're alive. We have power, food and health. A sizeable percentage of the country cannot say the same. If this is the worst thing to happen to me after dodging a huge storm like that, I almost don't care if I got a passing score or not. I'm still alive and if need be I'll take REG another damn time, there are far worse things that could have happened this week.

That being said, good luck to everyone waiting and be safe to those in Sandy's wake.

    AUD - 79!
REG - (67,69-without NINJA and Wiley Test Bank) 84!(with NINJA and Wiley Test Bank)
    FAR - 75!
    BEC - 83!
Every test I passed, I used Ninja Notes. Couldn't have done it without them!
    I am done!!!

Dude, that response is scaring me. What if they lost our scores when the power went out? I've read of instances of NASBA & the AICPA losing scores before.

Honestly, I'm surprised the NYC office does not have power by now. The office is located in Rockefeller center and generally only locations below 39th street are without power. I know there are pockets, but I would be surprised if there wasn't any in that area. However, I do not fault that they would be closed monday-wednesday….mass transit was a MESS!!!!

Come on guys! Things could be much worse…lets hope all our test information was secured and stored offsite or we might have to retake all our exams.

@Maverick, thanks! It's my second go around. 4 years ago I just didn't put the same effort into it (especially after getting my REG score of 74 on Christmas Eve). I didn't study as much for BEC as the others because extension season was more strenuous than last year. I'm just impatient and hate waiting.

@nimmle02 I think the NYC office does have power, hence the response. However the Ewing, NJ location where the exams are graded is without power.

Yes we all are lucky that this is our biggest concern. However, it is difficult not to be disappointed.

I hope everyone is on recovery mode from Sandy. Including the AICPA and NASBA. I know you are holding my score hostage. I took my exam 10/1. I'm ready for my score please. AUD 495 NY

The city is on its way back to recovery. A lot of people are still without power. I have a friend staying with me from Zone A. He doesn't expect to get power back until the end of next week.

    Deep breaths everyone!!!

It is apparent that NASBA and the AICPA could benefit from a decentralized processing system that would allow processing at other sites in the event that a site becomes unavailable. Also, it is recommended that they update their disaster recovery plans at this time to reflect lessons learned from this inability to meet deliverables.

Yes, I am waiting on my BEC score. Can I get extra credit for this recommendation?? 🙂

    AUD 4/12/12 79
