I figured since I was able to get in here I would start a new thread to see if that would help the website run better.

I think so far we have seen AUD scores. Good luck everyone!!

Congrats Rachel on the AUD pass. I am not sure if I passed BEC or not yet…..STILL freaking waiting. However, this was my second attempt and yes, I used Becker. On my second attempt however, I supplemented with the Wiley test bank and it seemed to help me feel a bit more comfortable walking out of the exam…..or maybe it was just the fact that I studied the material a second time. If using Becker, the most important thing is to know that the first 3 chapters are going to kick your a$$. Just push through it. Chapters 4-6 are a breeze. Also, I re-wrote Jeff's ninja notes once. They hit all the high points of the material and are very concise. Maybe look into those as well if you haven't already. I score a 69 first time on AUD, re-wrote the Ninja notes for AUD twice before the actual exam and scored a 91. Coincidence????? I don't know. I am however a believer. Hope this helps a bit. Probably a post that belongs in another thread though…….oh well.

    Proach,

I have no clue. I have determined that today I have nothing but time seeing how I have already devoted a 10 hour study day to REG (I'm a little behind) and therefore will be sitting in front of my computer anyways. So, needless to say, I will continue to check scores. I think I have read somewhere that scores are still released on weekend. I am not sure how that pans out with BEC though since if we are in this so called “borderline group”, I wouldn't think that the graders/human reviewers would work on a Saturday just for our benefit. I just don't see that happening. So, probably Monday. But….I'm an optimist.

@Jpgrocho, thanks for responding to my post! I was thinking about getting the NINJA notes for BEC but I think I have them from a year ago…. Are there any significant updates? Also, definitely looking into the Wiley test bank. I heard its very helpful. I didn't use either of those to pass Audit but then again, I only got a 76 so it was a close one!

    AUD: 71, 76
    BEC: 69, 80
    FAR: 72, 78!!!!
    REG: 5/30/2014

    Rachel,

The Ninja notes I used for BEC were also from last year. There were a few things I noticed that were not included anywhere in the Ninja notes. However, those things I did not notice on the exam either. I would think you would be safe using the BEC notes you currently have. Just my opinion…..which means nothing because I don't have a BEC score and probably failed. haha.

Hi everyone, I am from California, and I sat for Audit on 12/6/12. I had the intention to take this part before the end of the Q4 window, but due to lack of time available for my review (because I was working 60+ hrs/week), I felt the need to extend the testing date to 12/6/12. Maybe I was able to put more time into my review after all, I was able to finish Audit in a little over 3 hrs only. The MC's were not too bad with tons of questions on Reviews/Compilations/Attest Engagements and less weighted on Audit-related stuff. The simulations were super hard, but I stumbled through them and thought I completely nailed the two research questions. Maybe those were the ones who saved me. The score waiting game was horrible ever since 12/6, and I realized a lot of people on here were talking about the so-called “borderline” group, which had something to do with your test generally being re-scored one more time to ensure no mistakes were made during the first round of scoring (thus, an extra day…maybe). I left the test site worrying about whether I actually did a superb job or I blew the exam flat-out. But my heart was telling me that there must be a reason I could walk out early, and I should maintain the confidence.

This is really my first time posting here, but I have been following various threads on here regarding the CPA exam. I just want to say that if you have tried your best to test, maintain the confidence and do not speculate too much about being the “borderline” group. I got my Audit score this Saturday morning (on the CA board web site) at 77 while I thought I actually did much better than that. I also doubted that I was “borderline” as well, kept on having nightmares last night about the exam score (one of them actually revealed to me I got right at 75). What a night!

I have been using Roger CPA online review for all my tests. He did a great job teaching the courses, but it was really me who slacked off on studying and failed. But Roger always said – “You do not have to be a genius to take the exam, the CPA exam is not an IQ test. If you study, you will pass!!” So, hang on and put in the effort to study. I have been trying the exam ever since 2007, stopped for a while and re-attacked it in 2009, got conditional credits and lost them, retook again, lost them and retook again……..and now, I only have one last part left – REG. The reason it took a long time was that BEC seemed to be the hardest for me (while many people thought it was the easiest). I had to take BEC 8 times to finally nail it with just a 75 just because it had a whole bunch of ridiculous/unrelated topics. As for the other three parts, I was able to always kill them in one shot. Thus, I am still here finishing up the exam….it's all my own fault. But I know I will get there. Will sign up REG in early Jan'12.

Sorry….wrote too much to share my experience here. Good luck to you all.

    12/06/12 AUD – 77!!

    10/30/12 BEC – 75 (damn, finally…..)

    08/31/12 FAR – 77

Jan 2013 REG – will kill it!!

CA REG- 78. Glad to knock this one out. Only had a week to study after my FAR exam so I'm glad I passed.

I actually had a dream last night that I got a 70 on this and it felt real haha so I was relived to wake up and see a 78.

Congrats to everyone who passed and good luck to those waiting.

Still waiting on BEC 499 Florida! 🙁

I went to the library today to study for FAR and I pretty much should have stayed at home because I was not able to focus. I really don't know how people that had to wait for months to get the score were able to deal with this pain.

I might as well watch TV cause I officially will not be able to study for the next exam until I get the BEC score.
