@ladyleo1 Per the AICPA: The CPA Examination is NOT curved. Every candidate’s score is entirely

independent of other candidates’ Examination results.

The CPA Examination is a criterion-referenced examination which means that it rests upon pre-determined standards. Every candidate’s performance is measured against established standards to determine whether the candidate has demonstrated the level of knowledge and skills that is represented by the passing score. Every candidate is judged against the same standards, and every score is an independent result [https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/ForCandidates/FAQ/Pages/computer_faqs_3.aspx].

I hope that helps. If I'm missing something then somebody please let me know. I wish this exam was curved.

For California, make sure to scroll down to the “Application Status Information” section at the bottom of the status page. My results are not yet showing in the “Credit Status Information” section at the top. Passed BEC, the hard ones are next… Good luck!

@KEMcpa – Wow! So nice to see that someone other than me is old enough to make people wonder why we are going through all of this NOW! Although I wager I am still older than you are, as my first accounting class was………..well, let's just say longer than 24 years ago. And I actually have a son that is taking these exams alongside of me. Sometimes I wonder why I am doing this at this late stage in the game, especially when I read about all these young people hoping for a place in the Big4 or whatever. My journey is more of a personal quest. Still hoping I can use it to further my job opportunities, even though cost/benefit may not be totally to my advantage. But I think I will be happier knowing I accomplished what was once only a dream. You have done well. Good luck to you and your future! 🙂

momto5–one of my daughter-in-laws and I took Intermediate Accounting at the same time in different schools. She met the requirements earlier than I did and has already obtained her license.

It is nice to meet another person of similar age seeking this designation. You have done well so far and I wish you well on these next 2 exams.

    Licensed Texas CPA!

@momto5 I am totaling with you on that. I have 2 kids and kick myself for not taking these exams seriously when I was in my twenties… now here I am trying to become a CPA while my 2 year old is making all kinds of noises in the background. 🙂 It is also a personal goal of mine. I feel I have spent so much time with it I have to see it through.

    Good luck to everyone!
