I just got the results back from my 1st ever attempt at the CPA exam. I took FAR on 7/18. I'll preface it by saying that I graduated 13 years ago, I don't work in public accounting and haven't seen 95% of the material in my 12 years of accounting experience. Needless to say I had to re-learn everything. I'll admit, my study habits were not that great. I listened to all of the lectures (Yaeger) and took notes for most areas (about 12 hrs of studying per week over 16 weeks). I skipped Governmental and Not-for-Profit due to time limit. I didn't do any homework besides going over the problems done in class with the instructors during the lecture. I hit a studying wall and did no review and no wiley test bank questions before the exam. I read over the NINJA notes and listened to the audio ONCE each. Why am I telling you this? Because I made a 71 with all of the obstacles mentioned previously. If I can get that close, anyone of you can do this… Just put in the time and you can do it!! This next time I am going to be more efficient with my time and I am going to pass with the help of Yaeger and the NINJA products!!! My advice to others…. Don't spin your wheels on every detail. Keep moving through the lectures. When you start reviewing your notes and MCQ's along with the other assigned HW and Wiley Test bank questions, you will start to understand the areas you are weak on…

I checked a few times today at work and decided to check one last time before logging off and there it was………….a passing score for AUD! 486 WI – posting late because I went out to dinner with my hubby to celebrate! Halfway there!

@kricket & jpgrocho – so sorry for you guys and the others who face disappointment 🙁 Getting a passing score is always a little bittersweet because you still feel so bad for all those who didn't pass this time.

Maryland DLLR score site isn't working. Maybe they are loading scores, or maybe everyone is overloading the site with refreshing?

Anyway, took FAR on 7/21, so I don't think I'll be in this round of releases 🙁
