manimauParticipantHi Guys,
My first post in this forum. I just got the same email from Nasba and got confused. I know everyone is anxious but can you guys believe I have 3 scores to be released in the one score release. This was my first time taking CPA. I gave my BEC on 7/2 my AUD on 7/11 my REG on 7/20 and just took my FAR yesterday 7/30. My god! I have already started feeling that exams were much better than getting the scores! And how sad is it that I have just 3 days to enjoy before I get my scores for 3 of them…:(

mabreu7Memberi'm sorry @manimau you should definitely be getting BEC, but from reading past forums BEC tends to take a few days longer but don't take my word for it as i haven't waited for this score. in reference to REG since you took it on the last date of the testing window (day 1-20) there's also a chance you won't get this score in on time. i hope you do because i know how terrible it is to have to wait for scores. -_- AUD should def show up, and FAR will come in the next wave of scores for you
AUD - 1/14/12 - 85
FAR - 4/21/12 - 80
REG - 7/1/12 - 80

MichiganStateUniversityMemberREG 480.. more unsure about receiving a passing score on this exam than the last two.. keeping my fingers crossed! Left one simulation blank due to running out of time. I am praying that it was the simulation that they are not including in the score. If it is not included, I've got a pretty good chance of passing, if it is, then I probably will have to retake it. Please hurry with my score!
AUD: PASSED 2/25/12
BEC: PASSED 5/29/12
FAR: PASSED 8/30/12
REG: 7/5/12 Failed .. Rematch 10/22/12 PASSED!July 31, 2012 at 7:13 pm #359610

What did you do to up your audit score by so much after so many attempts? I received two 71's and then just retook it and am awaiting my score. This exam has me so screwed up, I am terrified I'll be taking it again.
BEC- 73, 73, 80
REG- 74, 83
FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!
Finished!!July 31, 2012 at 8:20 pm #359611
JacquelynMemberI know the answer is probably not what you want to hear, but I stopped working for 4 weeks, and did NOTHING but study for both Audit and BEC. I was working full time trying to take these exams, and that is why I have so many fails under both. Ya, some people can work full time and pass, but not me unfortunately. I finally told myself that if I truly want this CPA, I have to stop work and dedicate myself to this 100%,.
That is how I passed both Audit and BEC with much higher scores than my fails. I also took a 4 week live class (2 weeks for audit, 2 weeks for BEC) with a private CPA review company called ‘Twin Cities CPA Review'. The class was helpful in that it gave me structure (homework assignments, deadlines for reading, class help, etc). I needed that to keep me on track. I am a few years out of school, so having a live instructor helped me to re-learn the info in the way I was used to when in school.
I was fortunate enough to have a boss who is a CPA himself and knows the pain of the exam, but also knows how beneficial it is to a company to have another CPA on board. So he was willing to give me the time needed to study. And it paid off.

fnj_84MemberA frustrating comment from someone, who is also studying accounting but not registered for the exam, was “I should know this stuff already”. Coming from someone who hasn't even attempted any sections, or registered for the exam, and is an accounting student, it rendered me speechless. Needless to say, this person thinks they don't need to study for it. I was just amazed they put me down for studying and worying about the exam, especialy the score. Good to know I'm not nuts for worrying about the cpa exam scores.

I think the first exam is a reality check. That is why I don't like to discuss my exams with non cpa-candidates. They don't get the difficulty. I had someone tell me their kids knows how I feel because they failed an exam. I thought really. They made the sacrifices I've made….to spend countless hours away from their children to study for an exam that has a less then 50% pass rate when taken by professionals. The pass rate for completing all 4 I've been told is less than 20%. I told a friend that I got an 80 on FAR. I could tell she thought that was a low and unimpressive score. I'm dancing around saying I passed the beast.
At least we have this forum.

That is exactly the reason we are all drawn to this forum. People who are not taking this exam simply cannot understand our feelings, frustrations, etc. We are in good company here. People at so many different places in life and yet we find ourselves drawn together by this extremely challenging exam.
Be sure you check out this thread https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/stupid-things-said-by-coworkers-relatives-or-friends-regarding-taking-this-exam/
PS – Come on score release! I'm on pins and needles.
