This was my first exam. Graduated from college back in 1987 with a finance degree. So its been many years since my intermediate accounting classes. Went back to school for the last two years while working full -time to take the rest of the required accounting coursework. Bought the Wiley CPA Exam Review book in July and started studying on my own. A lot had changed since 1987 and I had to relearn almost everything in the book. Started taking the Wiley CPA practice questions on line in August and then came across the NinjaAudio two weeks before the test. Listened to it while running. AND IT ALL WORKED!!!
I tell you all this to encourage anyone that has been out of school for a while and feels rusty. It really can be done. Now on to BEC – which I'm actually much more comfortable with because I use much of this information every day in my job.
I am sitting at work now and am too scared to look if my grade is there. Usually I receive an email from the TSBPA by 7:30 am but I haven't received one yet. I can't even find the strength to logon to the site. This is my last test. I could be a CPA today but can't bear to look. I must be crazy.
my cousin got his BECscore yesterday..he got 77..isnt that borderline??? why are we still waiting then…and on day 1 i saw someone who passed with a 75…….so what the f..????
This is so frustrating!! I just called NASBA, they told me that they haven’t received my score form the AICPA and that the AICPA has until the 30th to send the score, so I just have to wait and they have no idea when they will get it. That is just BS!! This is a electronic test, why the process is so slow!!
@Alisonwiegard – You got this!!! Go ahead and check. I was nervous to when I checked but was presently surprised with a passing FARscore and I am done as well. Come on Fellow Texan you got this!!
BEC-Passed
AUD-Passed
REG-Passed
FAR-Passed (I AM DONE!!! THANK U LORD!!!!)
Licensed Texas CPA - 10/2012
I took in the extended window so I think thats why I'm not until next week the latest hopefully. Also I have a theory on the borderline. Hopefully someone who lives in a state that gives you your performance report even though you pass can confirm. I feel that if a person passes just from the computer grading than it's not considered borderline or if a person gets the full credit from the writing and still fails they are not borderline. I think it's actually when a person scores in a range that could be passing and didn't receive full credit on the writing than it's human graded to see if any extra points can be given. Remember this is just a theory that I have and not confirmed on actually how its done
JCASH…..i think you are corrct…that has to be it..only way it makes sense….. if the computer gave you 65% on mc…and 8 percent on wc's, thats a 73….then maybe human graders try to see if they can give a littl emore on wc's to get up to 75…..but if someone got 75% on mc alone, they passed regardless… or if 100% on wc's, and still failed, then nothing more they can do…..thats the only way it makes some kind of sense…..i just wish i wasnt in this position….from this forum, it loks like the majority of borderliners fail in the end
Alisonwiegard – I felt the same way!!! I was too scared…I woke up this morning and did not have the email from TSBPA….so I was like WHAT! I logged on….and didnt plan on checking my score at first…but then I saw “2 credits” instead of “1”!
