Yeah but the CFA exam is usually taken less frequently. So if you pass, then you have more time to study for your next section. If you're taking the CPA exam and you plan on taking the next section within a month and then find out you didn't pass the previous section you have a debate on which part of the exam to take.
I'm disappointed. Not at Jeff (he does an excellent job). However, I'm disappointed in NASBA because they have never really explained why we have to wait do long for our results. They have just said it is not possible to release scores on the day someone takes the tests due to quality control standards. However other tests who use similar scoring methodologies are able to do so. I would like a straight and detailed answer from NASBA.
Luckily I finished that up in June. Just waiting for Reg and I get my life back. 4 years of studying for tests comes to an end. Although I have a feeling I might have to study for Reg again lol. A serious WTF moment after leaving the exam center.
mmcgrad1 – Believe me, having the ability to take the exam more frequently is a good thing. The CFA exam is only offered once a year in June, unless you're taking Level 1, then that's offered in December and June. Each level consists of 6 textbooks and if you fail, you have to wait a whole year to take it again. Plus, the material changes from year to year (not dramatically, but still). So if you fail, you have to study new material. A lot of pressure on exam day.
