@renditt – Are you talking about using the same NTS that you used for your AUD exam taken on 8/4/12? If so, I believe you need a new NTS for each exam. So even your NTS does not expire until October 5, if you have already used it on your 8/4 exam, you will need to apply for the exam again and get a new NTS to test in the next testing window. I am pretty positive on this, but I could be wrong.

But if you pass, you will not have to worry about that 🙂 Good luck!

The NTS is a one time ticket. If you have not used it and the date is still valid you can use it. If you have used it and the date is valid you can't use it again. If you have not used it and the date is not valid you can't use it.

I hope you pass and don't have to worry about it.

@rendit, i have same issue.

i took FAR 08/06, not positive, uhh…. my NTS will expire next february. So if i fail and want to retake in october, i will need to apply a new NTS, correct?

Yea, I pushed back the exam date for BEC because I couldnt handle the stress of finishing it in 4 weeks. In a perfect world I would need 6 weeks, but unfortunately September is a blackout month. So I'll be taking a crack at it on October 1.

By the way, I think it's also kind of cool that we have a member here called momof4.

In any case, I hope we all do well!

@DavidB1990 – yes, my 4th son is also taking these exams. He is actually one of the bloggers on this site – Marc. It is so helpful having someone in the family who knows what it's like to go through this!

I don't blame you for moving your exam. The first few chapters of BEC took SO long, and I had longer than you did to prepare. I would not want to rush through it in 4 weeks either. Once you get past Chapter 3 it gets a little easier, although not very enjoyable as IT is not my thing! I am now at the review stage, so I am going back over each chapter as thoroughly as possible.

Here is a clue. I came home today and announced that my Aud score report came in the mail. My youngest son's reply was “Can you wipe my bottom?” He is 5. My kids are all young and I am so thankful that I did not feel like the sacrifices they made this summer were wasted. I'm really hoping to wrap this up soon so I can have more time for everyone. The long term goal is to make money to pay for thier college but the short term sacrifice is painful. I'm waiting for BEC on the 21st as well. I think I passed but with this exam you never know.

LOL – I don't know how you do it, though. Cannot imagine keeping up with it all, but I do understand the extra money for college. I am hoping to do the same, except after the fact – helping to pay off all those loans!

I believe momof4 passing BEC score had expired, hence the retake.

I am having trouble going all out for studying for FAR as I wait for the BEC score. The further it gets from exam date, the more I forget about the test and second guess 🙂
